Claims
- 1. A method for detecting an object with a radar system comprising:
generating a detection table containing a plurality of indicators, each indicative of the presence or absence of the object; combining at least two of the plurality of indicators contained in the detection table; and providing an object detection message if at least one of the combined indicators is indicative of the presence of the object.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein each of the plurality of indicators contained in the detection table is associated with a respective beam generated by a transmit signal and with a respective processing cycle.
- 3. The method of claim 2 wherein at least two of the combined indicators are associated with different beams.
- 4. The method of claim 2 wherein at least two of the combined indicators are associated with different processing cycles.
- 5. A radar system for detecting an object, comprising:
a memory in which is stored a detection table containing a plurality of indicators, each indicative of the presence or absence of the object; and a processor for combining at least two of the plurality of the indicators contained in the detection table, and for providing an object detection message if at least one of the combined indicators is indicative of the presence of the object.
- 6. The radar system of claim 5 wherein each of the plurality of indicators contained in the detection table is associated with a respective beam generated by a transmit signal and with a respective processing cycle.
- 7. The radar system of claim 6 wherein at least two of the combined indicators are associated with different beams.
- 8. The radar system of claim 6 wherein at least two of the combined indicators are associated with different processing cycles.
