Claims
- 1. In or for a rotary device including a rotor, a curved platen, a plurality of styli for transcribing indicia on a record sheet, said styli being secured to said rotor, support means for supporting said platen in a position such that said styli sweep over said platen when said rotor rotates, feed means for feeding a relatively thin elongated record sheet longitudinally between said styli and said platen, said feed means including guide means for curving said record sheet into an arcuate form, and drive means located closely adjacent said platen for pushing said sheet towards said platen at a point at which said sheet has said arcuate form.
- 2. A device as in claim 1 including a housing with a curved exterior, a drive mechanism in said housing, said guide means including said curved exterior of said housing and a similarly curved guide member releasably attached to said exterior of said housing.
- 3. A device as in claim 1 including a drive motor for driving said rotor, and means for drivably coupling said motor to drive said feed means in synchronism with said rotor.
- 4. A device as in claim 1 in which said record sheet is an electro-sensitive paper strip stored flat on a roll, means for coupling said motor to rotate said drive roller, a housing around said drive roller and coupling means and adjacent said platen, said housing having a curved exterior whose curvature is closely similar to that of said platen, thereby serving as a part of said guide means, said housing having an opening, said drive roller extending closely adjacent said opening, a curved guide member attached to said housing, an idler roller mounted on said guide member in a position to engage said drive roller at approximately the plane of said exterior of said housing, whereby said paper is pushed towards said platen through said guide means by said drive roller.
- 5. A device as in claim 1 in which said sheet is elongated and said drive means includes a drive roller engaging said sheet at said point, said roller having a width substantially less than the width of said sheet.
