Claims
- 1. A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus comprising:a magnetic write head, a magnetic read head, a magnetic medium recording information by the magnetic write head, a recording equalizer, a PR equalizer, an ML demodulator, and a common VCO, wherein the PR equalizer and the ML demodulator acquire their operation timing by using the output of the common VCO, wherein said recording equalizer is having: a data buffer for storing a recording object bit and bits before and after said recording object, and a calculator for calculating and outputting a precompensation parameter using the bits stored in the buffer by adding an offset C, having a value such as to always delay the write timing of the magnetic information, by an amount of shift determined using the bits stored in the buffer and the head velocity relative to the medium, wherein said recording equalizer is connected to the write head and the PR equalizer is connected to the read head.
- 2. A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus comprising:a magnetic medium, a magnetic write head; a magnetic read head, a recording equalizer, a PR equalizer, an ML demodulator, and a common VCO, wherein the PR equalizer and the ML demodulator acquire their operation timing by using the output of the common VCO, wherein said recording equalizer is having: a data buffer by storing a bit sequence of write data, a write current driver, a table in which a plurality of predetermined values of a compensation parameter d is stored, a bit judgement circuit, wherein; said data buffer transfer said bit sequence to said write driver synchronized with a predetermined write clock, said bit judgement circuit determines said compensation parameter d in accordance with a write object bit and its previous bit, and said write driver delays an inversion timing of said object bit using said parameter d from said write timing clock, and wherein said recording equalizer is connected to the write head and the PR equalizer is connected to the read head.
