Claims
- 1. An adapter that holds a device to be tested in an automatic testing machine, wherein the adapter is coupled to a drawer mechanism of a fixture of the machine, the adapter comprising:
- at least one RF connector which is coupled to a corresponding connector in the drawer; and
- means for releasably attaching the adaptor to the drawer mechanism.
- 2. The adapter of claim 1, further comprising:
- at least one RF connection point to transmit an RF signal to the device.
- 3. The adapter of claim 2, wherein:
- the one RF connection point is an antenna which radiatively transmits the RF signal to the device.
- 4. The adapter of claim 2, wherein:
- the one RF connection point is a contact which directly transmits the RF signal to the device.
- 5. The adapter of claim 2, further comprising:
- at least one line to couple the one connector to the one RF connection point.
- 6. The adapter of claim 5, further comprising:
- a hole which allows the one line to pass through the adapter and run beneath the adapter.
- 7. The adapter of claim 1, wherein the means for releasably attaching the adaptor to the drawer mechanism comprises:
- at least one hole into which a fastener is placed which secures the adapter to the drawer mechanism.
- 8. The adapter of claim 1, wherein the means for releasably attaching the adaptor to the drawer mechanism comprises:
- at least one bushing hole into which is placed an alignment pin from the drawer mechanism.
- 9. The adapter of claim 1, wherein:
- the one connector is continuously coupled to the drawer such that connection is maintained when the drawer mechanism is in open and closed positions.
- 10. An adapter that holds a device to be tested in an automatic testing machine, wherein the adapter is coupled to a drawer mechanism of a fixture of the machine, the adapter comprising:
- at least one RF connector which is coupled to a corresponding connector in the drawer;
- at least one RF connection point to transmit an RF signal to the device;
- at least one line to couple the one connector to the one RF connection point; and
- means for releasably attaching the adaptor to the drawer mechanism;
- wherein the one connector is continuously coupled to the drawer such that connection is maintained when the drawer mechanism is in open and closed positions.
- 11. The adapter of claim 10, wherein:
- the one RF connection point is an antenna which radiatively transmits the RF signal to the device.
- 12. The adapter of claim 10, wherein:
- the one RF connection point is a contact which directly transmits the RF signal to the device.
- 13. The adapter of claim 10, further comprising:
- a hole which allows the one line to pass through the adapter and run beneath the adapter.
- 14. The adapter of claim 10, wherein the means for releasably attaching the adaptor to the drawer mechanism comprises:
- at least one hole into which a fastener is placed which secures the adapter to the drawer mechanism.
- 15. The adapter of claim 10, wherein the means for releasably attaching the adaptor to the drawer mechanism comprises:
- at least one bushing hole into which is placed an alignment pin from the drawer mechanism.
- 16. An adapter that holds a device to be tested in an automatic testing machine, wherein the adapter is coupled to a drawer mechanism of a fixture of the machine, the adapter comprising:
- at least one resource connector which is coupled to a corresponding connector in the drawer; and
- means for releasably attaching the adaptor to the drawer mechanism;
- wherein the resource is used at a testing point in testing the device.
- 17. The adapter of claim 16, further comprising:
- at least one line to couple the one resource connector to the testing point.
- 18. The adapter of claim 16, wherein:
- the resource is a chemical.
- 19. The adapter of claim 16, wherein:
- the resource is an electrical signal.
