Claims
- 1. Food item comprising, in combination: a strip of support material having leading and trailing ends and first and second side edges, with the leading end being a cut end, with the strip of support material having a width between the first and second edges and having a length between the trailing and leading ends, with the width being minimal relative to the length of the support material; and a strip of food supported upon the strip of support material and having side edges and a length which does not extend beyond the leading and trailing ends of the support material, with the strip of support material and the strip of food supported thereon being rolled around the cut leading end into a roll having multiple rotations with the strip of support material located on the outside of the roll.
- 2. The food item of claim 1 further comprising, in combination: a label attached to the strip of support material on the outside of the roll and extending over the trailing edge of the support material.
- 3. The food item of claim 1 wherein the strip of food has a width between the side edges which does not extend beyond the first and second edges of the support material.
- 4. The food item of claim 3 wherein the side edges of the strip of food are spaced from the first and second edges of the strip of support material.
- 5. The food item of claim 4 wherein the spacing between the side edges of the strip of food from the first and second edges of the strip of support material is in the order of one-eighth inch.
- 6. The food item of claim 1 wherein the strip of support material is formed of paper.
- 7. The food item of claim 6 wherein the strip of support material is formed of silicon parchment paper.
- 8. The food item of claim 1 wherein the length of the strip of food is equal to the length of the support material.
- 9. The food item of claim 1 wherein the strip of food is a strip of sweetened dehydrated fruit-based material of a thinness requiring external support.
- 10. The food item of claim 2 wherein the roll has a periphery; wherein the label has a length less than the periphery of the roll.
- 11. The food item of claim 1 wherein the strip of food is embossed with shapes.
- 12. The food item of claim 11 wherein the strip of support material is free of embossing.
- 13. The food item of claim 12 wherein the shapes are embossed all the way through the strip of food allowing the shapes to remain on the strip of support material as the remaining portions of the strip of food are separated from the strip of support material.
- 14. The food item of claim 5 wherein the strip of food is a strip of sweetened dehydrated fruit-based material of a thinness requiring external support.
- 15. The food item of claim 14 wherein the strip of food is embossed with shapes.
- 16. The food item of claim 15 wherein the strip of support material is free of embossing.
- 17. The food item of claim 16 wherein the shapes are embossed all the way through the strip of food allowing the shapes to remain on the strip of support material as the remaining portions of the strip of food are separated from the strip of support material.
- 18. The food item of claim 17 wherein the length of the strip of food is equal to the length of the support material.
- 19. The food item of claim 4 wherein the length of the strip of food is equal to the length of the support material.
- 20. The food item of claim 9 wherein the length of the strip of food is equal to the length of the support material.
