1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display manufacture technology, and more particularly, to a scroll wheel used for transferring a glass substrate.
2. Description of Prior Art
A scroll wheel is required in a traditional process for manufacturing liquid crystal display panels. The scroll wheel is used to transfer a glass substrate. Conventionally, a part of the scroll wheel that is in contact with the glass substrate is not smooth enough and its hardness is high. This may make a scratch on the glass substrate in the transferring process, and thus degrade the completeness of the glass substrate.

It has to replace the entire wheel 101 when a part of the scroll wheel 101, e.g., an outermost circumference on the surface of the scroll wheel 101, that is in contact with the glass substrate is worn out. It is quite inconvenient to replace the whole wheel 101 and this may consume a great deal of human and non-human resources. Actually, it is a waste to replace entire wheel 101 for the sake of abrasion of the part of scroll wheel 101.
An object of the present invention is to provide a scroll wheel for transferring a glass substrate, which can prevent the glass substrate from being scratched in the transferring process, reduce the damage of the glass substrate, make the best use of an element of the scroll wheel that is reusable, and reduce the cost.
To solve the above problems, the present invention provides a scroll wheel for transferring a glass substrate, comprising: a rolling body having an outward-curving peripheral surface, an outermost circumference on the surface of the rolling body has an groove disposed around, the rolling body rotates on a central axis; and a surrounding member engaged with the groove of the rolling body, the surrounding member is in contact with the glass substrate and is used to support and transfer the glass substrate, wherein the surrounding member has a main portion and a protrusion, the protrusion is formed by extending the main portion along a first direction; the first direction is a direction from a center of the rolling body to a center of a cross section of the groove along a radial direction; and the main portion of the surrounding member has a cross section that is shaped substantially as the same as that of the groove.
In the aforesaid scroll wheel for transferring the glass substrate, the surrounding member has a height greater than a depth of the groove in a cross-sectional view.
In the aforesaid scroll wheel for transferring the glass substrate, the height is equal to a projected length of the cross section of the surrounding member along the first direction.
In the aforesaid scroll wheel for transferring the glass substrate, the depth is equal to a projected length of the cross section of the groove along the first direction.
In the aforesaid scroll wheel for transferring the glass substrate, a hardness number of the surrounding member is lower than that of the glass substrate.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a scroll wheel for transferring a glass substrate, which can prevent the glass substrate from being scratched in the transferring process, reduce the damage of the glass substrate, make the best use of an element of the scroll wheel that is reusable, and reduce the cost.

In the aforesaid scroll wheel for transferring the glass substrate, the main portion of the surrounding member has a cross section that is shaped substantially as the same as that of the groove.
In the aforesaid scroll wheel for transferring the glass substrate, a hardness number of the surrounding member is lower than that of the glass substrate.
In the aforesaid scroll wheel for transferring the glass substrate, the surrounding member is made of rubber.
In the aforesaid scroll wheel for transferring the glass substrate, the surrounding member is made of plastic.
Compared to conventional skills, the scroll wheel of the present invention comprises the rolling body and the surrounding member that are engaged with each other. Accordingly, it only needs to replace the surrounding member rather than replacing the whole wheel when the wheel needs to be maintained or repaired. The rolling body of the present invention can be reused. Therefore, the technical scheme provided in the present invention can reduce the cost. Moreover, the protrusion of the surrounding member that is used to directly in contact with the glass substrate is made of a material with a hardness number lower than that of the glass substrate material. As a result, the scroll wheel will not make a scratch on the glass substrate during the process of using the scroll wheel to transfer the glass substrate. This reduces the damage of the glass substrate.
To make above content of the present invention more easily understood, it will be described in details by using preferred embodiments in conjunction with the appending drawings.
The following descriptions for the respective embodiments are specific embodiments capable of being implemented for illustrations of the present invention with referring to appended figures.

In the present embodiment, there also has a fastening member (not shown) disposed at the groove 202 of the rolling body 201. Specifically, the fastening member is disposed on an inner wall of the groove 202. The fastening member may be a convex portion and the surrounding member 203 has a concave portion disposed at a position corresponding to the convex portion. The convex portion and the concave portion are engaged with each other. Alternatively, the fastening member may be a concave portion and the surrounding member 203 has a convex portion disposed at a position corresponding to the concave portion. The concave portion and the convex portion are engaged with each other.

Since the scroll wheel of the present invention comprises the rolling body 201 and the surrounding member 203 that are engaged with each other, it only needs to replace the surrounding member 203 rather than replacing the whole wheel when the wheel needs to be maintained or repaired. The rolling body 201 of the present invention can be reused. Therefore, the technical scheme provided in the present invention can reduce the cost. Moreover, the protrusion 205 of the surrounding member 203 that is used to directly in contact with the glass substrate is made of a material with a hardness number lower than that of the glass substrate material. As a result, the scroll wheel will not make a scratch on the glass substrate during the process of using the scroll wheel to transfer the glass substrate. This reduces the damage of the glass substrate. When the surrounding member 203 is required to be replaced, it does not need to take down the rolling body 201. It only needs to detach the surrounding member 203 from the rolling body 201 along its axial direction, and then replace with a new one and engage it with the groove 202 of the rolling body 201 along the axis of the rolling body 201.
Although the present invention has been explained by the embodiments shown in the drawings described above, it should be understood to the ordinary skilled person in the art that the invention is not limited to the embodiments, but rather various changes or modifications thereof are possible without departing from the spirit of the invention. Accordingly, the scope of the invention shall be determined only by the appended claims and their equivalents.
