Abstract
In order to provide information for making a decision when using composite services, there are provided means for calculating evaluation of combinations of services and means for visualizing the evaluations are provided. For this purpose, a method applied to a system having storage means includes receiving a selection of a plurality of service groups from one user; and computing an evaluation of combinations of services composed by selecting one service from among respective service groups of the plurality of service groups selected, based on evaluation information stored in the storage means.
Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below, appropriately referring to the drawings, wherein:

FIG. 1 is a diagram for describing a network system which includes an integration server (system);

FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram for describing a hardware configuration of the integration server;

FIG. 3 is a diagram for schematically describing contents stored in a hard disk drive;

FIG. 4 is a flowchart for describing a procedure performed by a system integrator from when expanding the function of the integration server to when doing maintenance;

FIG. 5 is a flowchart for more specifically describing an operation of the system;

FIG. 6 is a flowchart for more specifically describing a step of quantifying one combination of services to evaluate the same;

FIG. 7 is a flowchart for more specifically describing a step of re-evaluating combinations of services (a plural number) receiving high evaluation marks; and

FIG. 8 shows another exemplary window screen displayed on the display apparatus of the client.

Claims
  • 1. A method applied to a system having storage means, the method comprising steps of: receiving a selection of a plurality of service groups from one user; andcomputing an evaluation of combinations of services being composed by selecting one service from among respective service groups of the plurality of service groups selected, based on evaluation information stored in the storage means.
  • 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the service groups are collections of the same type of a plurality of services, andthe evaluation information includes relevant information corresponding to a relevance degree among respective service groups.
  • 3. The method according to claim 2, wherein at least one service group is a customer relation management service group, a human resources service group, or a logistics service group.
  • 4. The method according to claim 2, wherein the plurality of services are a plurality of web services provided by a plurality of service providers via the Internet.
  • 5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the evaluation information includes combination service information corresponding to combinations of services being used by a user.
  • 6. The method according to claim 5, wherein the combination service information includes the number of other users using a certain combination of services.
  • 7. The method according to claim 5, wherein the combination service information includes the number of transactions using a certain combination of services.
  • 8. The method according to claim 1, wherein the evaluation information includes single-service information corresponding to a single service being used by a user.
  • 9. The method according to claim 8, wherein the single-service information includes any metrics of the number of other users using the single service, the number of transactions using the single service, a price of the single service, a failure rate of the single service, an average response time of the single service, and the number of transactions that the single service can process per unit of time.
  • 10. The method according to claim 1, wherein an evaluation criterion is stored in the storage means, andin the step of computing, the combination of services is evaluated based on the evaluation criterion.
  • 11. The method according to claim 1, further comprising a step of: receiving an evaluation criterion of the combination of services from the one user, whereinin the computing step, the evaluation of the combination of services is computed based on the evaluation information and the evaluation criterion.
  • 12. The method according to claim 1, wherein a first evaluation criterion is stored in the storage means, the method further comprisinga step of receiving a second evaluation criterion of the combination of services from the one user, andin the step of computing, the evaluation of the combination of services is computed based on the first evaluation criterion, and the evaluation of the combination of the services is computed based on the second evaluation criterion.
  • 13. The method according to claim 10, wherein the evaluation information is quantified to be stored in the storage means and the evaluation criterion includes a coefficient corresponding to the evaluation information quantified, andin the step of computing, the combination of services is quantified to be computed by multiplying the concerned evaluation information quantified by the concerned corresponding coefficient.
  • 14. The method according to claim 13, wherein the evaluation information comprises a plurality of pieces of evaluation information quantified, and the evaluation criterion comprises a plurality of coefficients corresponding to each of the plurality of pieces of evaluation information.
  • 15. The method according to claim 1, further comprising steps of: receiving an input of the evaluation information; andstoring inputted evaluation information in the storage means.
  • 16. The method according to claim 1, wherein the system is connected with a service server for providing each service via the Internet, the method comprising steps of:monitoring a state of use of each service via the Internet; andupdating the evaluation information based on results of the monitoring.
  • 17. The method according to claim 1, further comprising a step of providing an evaluation result to the one user.
  • 18. The method according to claim 17, wherein the step of providing provides a plurality of combinations of services as the evaluation result, and provides the one user with a combination of services having a high evaluation result in preference to a combination of services having a low evaluation result.
  • 19. The method according to claim 17, wherein the step of providing provides the evaluation result to the one user while ensuring anonymity of other users.
  • 20. The method according to claim 17, wherein the step of providing provides, as the evaluation result, the plurality of service groups selected, a plurality of services included in each of the service groups, and the combination of services, to the one user in a state of enabling to display.
