Claims
- 1. A shiftable lens system having front and rear lens groups, said front lens group comprising a master lens system located closer to an object being photographed than said rear lens group, said rear lens group comprising an adaptor lens system located behind said master lens system, said adaptor lens system being detachable from said master lens system, said rear lens group having a lateral magnification greater than 1, a lens unit of said rear lens group is adjustable with respect to said master lens system in a direction perpendicular to a principal optical axis of said master lens system and said adjustable lens unit satisfies the following relationship:
- H=(1-1/m.sub.S).delta./m.sub.ab,
- wherein m.sub.ab designates a composite lateral magnification of the master lens system and a stationary lens unit of the rear lens group, m.sub.S designates a lateral magnification of the adjustable lens unit of said rear lens group, H designates a deviation of a center of the object being photographed from the principal optical axis, and .delta. designates an adjustment distance of the adjustable lens unit from the principal optical axis.
- 2. The shiftable lens system according to claim 1, said detachable adaptor lens system including said adjustable lens unit and at least one lens unit fixedly positioned with respect to the direction perpendicular to the principal optical axis.
- 3. The shiftable lens system according to claim 1, adjustment of said adjustable lens unit of said rear lens group compensating for deviation of a center of an object to be photographed from the principal optical axis.
- 4. The shiftable lens system according to claim 1, a maximum half angle of view of said shiftable lens system when said rear lens group is adjusted, is equal to or smaller than a half angle of view of said master lens system.
- 5. The shiftable lens system according to claim 1, wherein by the lateral magnification of said rear lens group being greater than 1, light rays within a maximum half angle of view, when the adaptor lens system is adjusted in a direction perpendicular to the principal optical axis, are made incident upon an object image area of predetermined size, said predetermined size corresponding to an area of an object image formed by said master lens system.
