Claims
- 1. A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one yellow coupler-containing blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer (BL), at least one magenta coupler-containing green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer (GL) and at least one cyan coupler-containing red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer (RL); wherein the weight-averaged wavelength of the spectral sensitivity distribution of GL (.lambda..sub.G) of the photographic material is between 520 nm and 580 nm (520 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.G .ltoreq.580 nm), the weight-averaged wavelength of the spectral sensitivity distribution of RL (.lambda..sub.R) of the photographic material is between 590 nm and 650 nm (590 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.R .ltoreq.650 nm), and the weight-averaged wavelength of the spectral sensitivity distribution of BL (.lambda..sub.S) of the photographic material is between 430 nm and 480 nm (430 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.B .ltoreq.480 nm); wherein the photographic material satisfies at least one of the following requirements (a), (b) and (c):
- (a) the weight-averaged wavelength of the negative interlayer effect relative to RL (.lambda..sub.-R) is between 490 nm and 560 nm (490 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-R .ltoreq.560 nm);
- (b) the weight-averaged wavelength of the negative interlayer effect relative to GL (.lambda..sub.-G) is selected from at least one of the group consisting of between 400 nm and 500 nm (400 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-G .ltoreq.500 nm) and between 570 nm and 670 nm (570 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-G .ltoreq.670 nm); and
- (c) the weight-averaged wavelength of the negative interlayer effect relative to BL (.lambda..sub.-S) is between 520 nm and 590 nm (520 nm.ltoreq..lambda..sub.-B .ltoreq.590 nm); and wherein the photographic material comprises at least one compound represented by formula (P-2) or (P-3) in an interlayer effect donor layer to said RL: ##STR18## wherein R.sub.11, R.sub.12 and R.sub.13 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group, a cyano group, a hydroxyl group, a nitro group, a carboxyl group, an amino group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an acylamino group, an alkylamino group, an anilino group, a ureido group, a sulfamoylamino group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkoxycarbonylamino group, a sulfonamido group, a carbamoyl group, a sulfamoyl group, a sulfonyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, a heterocyclic-oxy group, an azo group, an acyloxy group, a carbamoyloxy group, a silyloxy group, an aryloxycarbamoylamino group, an imido group, a heterocyclicthio group, a sulfinyl group, a phosphonyl group, an aryloxycarbonyl group, an acyl group, or an azolyl group; and
- X represents a group of formula (X-1):
- --{(L.sub.1).sub.a -(B).sub.m }.sub.p -(L.sub.2).sub.n -DI (X-1)
- wherein L.sub.1 represents a group capable of splitting off from the coupler residual group at the left-side bond of L.sub.1 in formula (X-1), followed by cleaving the right-side bond of L.sub.1, bonding to (B).sub.m, thereof;
- B represents a group capable of cleaving the right-side bond of B in formula (X-1) by reaction with an oxidation product of a developing agent;
- L.sub.2 represents a group capable of .splitting off from the formula (X-1) at the left-side bond of L.sub.2 in formula (X-1), followed by cleaving the right-side bond, bonding to DI, thereto;
- DI represents a development inhibitor residue;
- a, m and n each represent 0 or 1; and
- p represents an integer of from 0 to 2; provided that when p is 2, then the {(L.sub.1).sub.a --(B).sub.m }.sub.p groups are the same or different; and
- wherein a maximum interlayer effect is imparted to said RL at the weight-averaged wavelength .lambda..sub.R by at least one of the layers selected from the group consisting of BL and GL, and wherein the difference between the weight-averaged wavelength in the color sensitivity distribution of GL (.lambda..sub.G) and the weight-averaged wavelength of the negative interlayer effect relative to RL (.lambda..sub.-R) is 5 nm or more (.lambda..sub.G -.lambda..sub.-R .ltoreq.5 nm).
- 2. The silver halide color photographic material as in claim 1, in which a ratio of an amount of a high boiling point organic solvent in the layer or layers imparting a maximum interlayer effect to the cyan-coloring red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer at the weight-averaged wavelength .lambda..sub.-R to the compound of formula (P-2) or (P-3) of claim 1 in the same layer or layers is at most 2.0 by weight.
- 3. The silver halide color photographic material as in claim 2, in which the group represent by formula (X-1) is a group represented by formula (X-2), (X-3) or (X-4):
- --(L.sub.1)--(B)--DI (X-2)
- --L.sub.2)--DI (X-3)
- --DI (X-4)
- where
- L.sub.1 represents a group capable of splitting off from the coupler residual group at the left-side bond of L.sub.1 in formula (X-1), followed by cleaving the right-side bond of L.sub.1 (bonding to (B).sub.m) thereof;
- B represents a group capable of cleaving the right-side bond of B in formula (X-1) by reaction with an oxidation product of a developing agent;
- L.sub.2 represents a group capable of splitting off from the formula (X-1) at the left-side bond of L.sub.2 in formula (X-1), followed by cleaving the right-side bond (bonding to DI) thereto; and
- DI represents a development inhibitor residue.
- 4. The silver halide color photographic material as in claim 1, in which L.sub.1 and L.sub.2 in formula (X-1) each represents a group represented by formula (T-1), (T-2), (T-3), (T-4), (T-5) or (T-6): ##STR19## where W represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or --N(R.sub.67)--; R.sub.65 and R.sub.66 each represents a hydrogen atom, or a substituent;
- R.sub.67 represents a substituent;
- t represents 1 or 2, and when t is 2, the (--W--C(R.sub.65)(R.sub.66)--) groups are the same or different; and the symbol (*) indicates the left-side bond of L.sub.1 or L.sub.2 in formula (X-1), and the symbol (**) indicates the right-side bond of L.sub.1 or L.sub.2 in formula (X-1);
- *--Nu--Link--E--** (T-2)
- where the symbols (*) and (**) have the same meaning as in formula (T-1);
- Nu represents a nucleophilic group;
- E represents an electrophilic group, which is a group nucleophilically attacked by Nu to cleave the bond (**); and
- Link represents a linking group for sterically linking Nu and E with each other so that an intramolecular nucleophilic substitution reaction may occur therebetween;
- *--W--(V.sub.1 =V.sub.2).sub.t --CH.sub.2 --** (T-3)
- where V.sub.1 and V.sub.2 each represents .dbd.C--R.sub.65 or a nitrogen atom; and
- (*), (**), W, R.sub.65 and t have the same meaning as in formula (T-1);

- *--S--CS--** (T-5)
- where (*) and (**) have the same meaning as in formula (T-1);
- *--W--C(.dbd.N--R.sub.68)--** (T-6)
- where (*), (**) and W have the same meaning as in formula (T-1); and
- R.sub.68 has the same meaning as R.sub.67 as defined in formula (T-1).
- 5. The silver halide color photographic material as in claim 1, in which X represents a group which splits off from the formula (P-2 or P-3) via an oxygen atom and R.sub.11 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group.
- 6. The silver halide color photographic material as in claim 1, in which B in formula (X-1) is represented by formula (B-1), (B-2), (B-3) or (B-4): ##STR20## where the symbol (*) represents the position which is bonded to the left side of B in formula (X-1); the symbol (**) represents the position which is bonded to the right side of B in formula (X-1); X.sub.1 and X.sub.4 each represents an oxygen atom or .dbd.N--SO.sub.2 R.sub.71 (where R.sub.71 represents an aliphatic group, an aromatic group or a heterocyclic group); X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 each represents a methine group or a nitrogen atom; and b represents an integer of from 1 to 3; provided that at least one of the (X.sub.2)'s in b and the (X.sub.3)'s in b is a methine group with the bond (**), where b is a plural number, the (X.sub.2)'s and the (X.sub.3)'s are the same or different and where X.sub.2 and X.sub.3 each is a substituted methine group or bonded to each other to form a cyclic structure. ##STR21## where the symbols (*) and (**) have the same meaning as in formula (B-1); R.sub.72, R.sub.73 and R.sub.74 each represents a group which may function as a coupler having a coupling split-off group at the position (**), after the group of formula (B-2) or (B-3) has cleaved at the position (*); and d represents an integer of from 0 to 4; provided that when d is a plural number, the (R.sub.72)'s may be the same or different and where plural (R.sub.72)'s are present, they are bonded to each other to form a cyclic structure: ##STR22## where the symbols (*) and (**) have the same meaning as in formula (B-1); and
- R.sub.75, R.sub.76 and R.sub.77 each represents a substituent, and R.sub.77 and R.sub.76 may be bonded to each other to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring.
- 7. The silver halide color photographic material as in claim 6, in which B in formula (X-1) is represented by formula (B-1) having a substituent with a Hammett's .sigma..sub.p value of 0.3 or more.
