Claims
- 1. A silver halide multilayered color photographic light-sensitive material, comprising:
- a support base having thereon:
- a green-sensitive emulsion layer for forming a magenta color, the green-sensitive layer having a maximum sensitivity in the range of 535 nm to 555 nm;
- a blue-sensitive emulsion layer for forming a yellow color, the blue-sensitive layer having a maximum sensitivity in the range of 80 to 110 nm shorter than the maximum sensitivity of the green-sensitive layer; and
- a red-sensitive emulsion layer for forming a cyan color, the red-sensitive layer having a maximum sensitivity in the range of 75 to 95 nm longer than that of the green-sensitive layer; and
- a compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor, wherein the development inhibitor or its precursor has a diffusibility of 0.4 or more, by a coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent.
- 2. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 1, wherein the compound capable of releasing the diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in a layer selected from the group consisting of the green-sensitive layer, the blue-sensitive layer and the red-sensitive layer.
- 3. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 1, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in a light-insensitive interlayer adjacent to a layer selected from the group consisting of the green-sensitive layer, the blue-sensitive layer and the red-sensitive layer.
- 4. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 3, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in an amount in the range of 0.01 to 50 mol% based on the amount of silver halide in the adjacent emulsion layer.
- 5. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 4, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in an amount in the range of 0.1 to 5 mol% based on the amount of silver halide in the adjacent emulsion layer.
- 6. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 4, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is represented by the general formula (I):
- J-(Y).sub.h (I)
- wherein J is a coupler component, h is 1 or 2 and Y is a group bound to the coupling position of coupler component J to be eliminated by the reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent to form a development inhibitor or a development inhibitor-releasing compound.
- 7. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 6, wherein the Y is a compound selected from the group consisting of (II), (III), (IV) and (V): ##STR18## wherein W is --S-- or --N(R.sub.3)--, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each a substituent selected so as to adjust the diffusibility to 0.4 or more, and i represents 1 or 4.
- 8. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 7, wherein J is selected from the group consisting of a yellow image-forming coupler residue, a magenta image-forming coupler residue and a cyan image-forming coupler residue.
- 9. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 4, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is the compound (D-1): ##STR19##
- 10. A process for reducing changes in the color reproducability of a silver halide multilayer color photographic light-sensitive material caused by changes in the color temperature of a light source used to expose the same upon photography, which process comprises:
- setting the maximum sensitivity of a green-sensitive layer of said light-sensitive material at 535 to 555 nm, the maximum sensitivity of a blue-sensitive layer of said light-sensitive material at a wavelength 80 to 110 nm shorter than that of said green-sensitive layer, and the maximum sensitivity of a red-sensitive layer of said light-sensitive material at a wavelength 75 to 95 nm longer than that of said green-sensitive layer; and
- developing said light-sensitive material in the presence of a compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor, wherein said development inhibitor or its precursor has a diffisibility of 0.4 or more, by a coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent, said compound being present in said light-sensitive material.
- 11. A process for producing images in a silver halide multilayer color photographic light-sensitive material which shows reduced changes in color reproducability due to changes in the color temperature of the light source used to expose the same upon photography, which process comprises:
- setting the maximum sensitivity of a green-sensitive layer of said light-sensitive material at 535 to 555 nm, the maximum sensitivity of a blue-sensitive layer of said light-sensitive material at a wavelength 80 to 110 nm shorter than that of said green-sensitive layer, and the maximum sensitivity of a red-sensitive layer of said light-sensitive material at a wavelength 75 to 95 nm longer than that of said green-sensitive layer;
- image-wise exposing said silver halide multi-layer color photographic material to said light source; and
- developing said light-sensitive material in the presence of a compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor, wherein said development inhibitor or its precursor has a diffisibility of 0.4 or more, by a coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent, said compound being present in said light-sensitive material.
- 12. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 4, wherein the compound capable of releasing the diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in each of the green-sensitive, blue-sensitive and red-sensitive emulsion layers.
- 13. A silver halide material as claimed in claim 5, wherein the compound capable of releasing the diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in each of the green-sensitive, blue-sensitive and red-sensitive emulsion layers.
- 14. The process of claim 10, wherein the compound capable of releasing the diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in a layer selected from the group consisting of the green-sensitive layer, the blue-sensitive layer and the red-sensitive layer.
- 15. The process of claim 10, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in a light-insensitive interlayer adjacent to a layer selected from the group consisting of the green-sensitive layer, the blue-sensitive layer and the red-sensitive layer.
- 16. The process of claim 15, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in an amount in the range of 0.01 to 50 mol% based on the amount of silver halide in the adjacent emulsion layer.
- 17. The process of claim 16, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precusor is present in an amount in the range of 0.1 to 5 mol% based on the amount of silver halide in the adjacent emulsion layer.
- 18. The process of claim 16, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is represented by the general formula (I):
- J-(Y).sub.h (I)
- wherein J is a coupler component, h is 1 or 2 and Y is a group bound to the coupling position of coupler component J to be eliminated by the reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent to form a development inhibitor or a development inhibitor-releasing compound.
- 19. The process of claim 16, wherein the Y is a compound selected from the group consisting of (II), (III), (IV) and (V): ##STR20## wherein W is --S-- or --N(R.sub.3)--, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each a substituent selected so as to adjust the diffusiblity to 0.4 or more, and i represents 1 or 4.
- 20. The process of claim 19, wherein J is selected from the group consisting of a yellow image-forming coupler residue, a magenta image-forming coupler residue and a cyan image-forming coupler residue.
- 21. The process of claim 16, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is the compound (D-1): ##STR21##
- 22. The process of claim 11, wherein the compound capable of releasing the diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in a layer selected from the group consisting of the green-sensitive layer, the blue-sensitive layer and the red-sensitive layer.
- 23. The process of claim 11, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in a light-insensitive interlayer adjacent to a layer selected from the group consisting of the green-sensitive layer, the blue-sensitive layer and the red-sensitive layer.
- 24. The process of claim 23, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in an amount in the range of 0.01 to 50 mol% based on the amount of silver halide in the adjacent emulsion layer.
- 25. The process of claim 23, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is present in an amount in the range of 0.1 to 5 mol% based on the amount of silver halide in the adjacent emulsion layer.
- 26. The process of claim 23, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is represented by the general formula (I):
- J-(Y).sub.h (I)
- wherein J is a coupler component, h is 1 or 2 and Y is a group bound to the coupling position of coupler component J to be eliminated by the reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent to form a development inhibitor or a development inhibitor-releasing comopund.
- 27. The process of claim 11, wherein the Y is a compound selected from the group consisting of (II), (III), (IV) and (V): ##STR22## wherein W is --S-- or --N(R.sub.3)--, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each a substituent selected so as to adjust the diffusiblity to 0.4 or more, and i represents 1 or 4.
- 28. The process of claim 27, wherein J is selected from the group consisting of a yellow image-forming coupler residue, a magenta image-forming coupler residue and a cyan image-forming coupler residue.
- 29. The process of claim 11, wherein the compound capable of releasing a diffusible development inhibitor or its precursor is the compound (D-1): ##STR23##
