Claims
- 1. A silver halide photographic emulsion comprising silver halide grains having a silver bromide-containing phase and a silver iodide-containing phase each formed in the layer form, and having a silver chloride content of 90 mol % or more.
- 2. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein said silver bromide-containing phase is formed more internally in the grain than said silver iodide-containing phase.
- 3. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein said silver bromide-containing phase and said silver iodide-containing phase are formed adjacently to each other.
- 4. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein said silver iodide-containing phase is a layer having a silver iodide content of decreasing in the depth direction from a surface of the grain.
- 5. A silver halide photographic emulsion comprising silver halide grains having a silver chloride content of 90 mol % or more, wherein the maximum silver iodide content of a corner portion of said silver halide grain is higher than the silver iodide content of a main plane of said grain.
- 6. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein the main plane of said silver halide grain is constituted by a (100) face.
- 7. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 5, wherein the main plane of said silver halide grain is constituted by a (100) face.
- 8. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein the iodide ion content is 0.05 mol % or more based on the total silver amount of the whole emulsion grains.
- 9. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 5, wherein the iodide ion content is 0.05 mol % or more based on the total silver amount of the entire emulsion grains.
- 10. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein the silver halide photographic emulsion is produced by a method of finishing the introduction of the iodide ion before 98% of the volume of the grains are formed.
- 11. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein the introduction of the iodide ion is carried out by using silver halide fine grains containing silver iodide.
- 12. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 5, wherein the introduction of the iodide ion is carried out by using silver halide fine grains containing silver iodide.
- 13. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein the silver halide grain is a cubic or tetradecahedral grain.
- 14. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electron releasing time of the silver halide grain is from 10−5 second to 10 seconds.
- 15. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein the silver halide grain contains a six-coordinate complex having Ir as a central metal, which has Cl, Br or I as a ligand.
- 16. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 15, wherein the six-coordinated complex is contained in the silver bromide-containing phase.
- 17. The silver halide photographic emulsion as claimed in claim 1, wherein the silver halide grain contains a six-coordinated complex having Ir as a central metal, which has at least one non-halogen atom as a ligand.
