Abstract
A soft embossable alget for shoelaces or drawcords contains: a soft body and a rope element connected with the soft body, wherein the soft body is formed in a column shape and includes an extension on which multiple embossing patterns are embossed. The soft body is flexible and bendable to receive an object. The soft body is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with various colors. The extension of the soft body is pressed by a high frequency mold, and the multiple embossing patterns are embossed on the extension of the body by using a metal mold based on using requirements.
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to a soft embossable alget for shoelaces or drawcords and a method of making the same which are capable of embossing trademark or decoration patterns on the alget easily.

BACKGROUND

A conventional alget is a structure that is installed at both ends of the shoelace or clothing drawcords to prevent the cord from loosening and facilitate insertion. Currently, most common manufacturing materials on the market are vinyl acetate. The finished product is hard and feels like a hard object when worn, and cannot be directly processed again to press three-dimensional patterns. However, in the face of modern brand marketing trends, algets often need to make trademarks or decorative patterns thereon. The conventional alget making method can no longer meet the needs of the industry.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.

SUMMARY

A primary aspect of the present invention is to provide a soft embossable alget for shoelaces or drawcords and a method of making the same which are capable of embossing trademark or decoration patterns on the alget easily.

To obtain above-mentioned aspect, a soft embossable alget for shoelaces or drawcords provided by the present invention contains: a soft body and a rope element connected with the soft body. The soft body is formed in a column shape and includes an extension on which multiple embossing patterns are embossed.

A method of making the soft embossable alget for shoelaces or drawcords contains steps of:

    • A) cutting thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) into a strap equal to a width of the alget;
    • B) applying glue on the strap;
    • C) putting the strap and an end of the rope element into a columnar mold;
    • D) heating the columnar mold to heat mold the end of the rope element in the column shape, and hot-melting the strap and the end of the rope element together;
    • E) making the metal mold with the multiple embossing patterns;
    • F) putting a connection of the strap and the end of the rope element into the metal mold; and
    • G) pressing the extension of the soft body and embossing the multiple embossing patterns by using the high frequency mold, thus finishing the alget.

Other objects and features will be in part apparent and in part pointed out hereinafter.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

With reference to FIGS. 1-3, a soft embossable alget for shoelaces or drawcords according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises: a soft body 10 and a rope element 20 connected with the soft body 10, wherein the soft body 10 is formed in a column shape and includes an extension 15 on which multiple embossing patterns 12 are embossed.

The soft body 10 is flexible and bendable to receive an object.

The soft body 10 is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with various colors.

The extension 15 of the soft body 10 is pressed by a high frequency mold, and the multiple embossing patterns 12 are embossed on the extension 15 of the body 10 by using a metal mold based on using requirements.

Referring to FIG. 4, a method of making the soft embossable alget for shoelaces or drawcords according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises steps of:

    • A) cutting thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) into a strap equal to a width of the alget;
    • B) applying glue on the strap;
    • C) putting the strap and an end of the rope element 20 into a columnar mold;
    • D) heating the columnar mold to heat mold the end of the rope element 20 in the column shape, and hot-melting the strap and the end of the rope element 20 together;
    • E) making the metal mold with the multiple embossing patterns 12;
    • F) putting a connection of the strap and the end of the rope element 20 into the metal mold; and
    • G) pressing the extension 15 of the soft body 10 and embossing the multiple embossing patterns 12 by using the high frequency mold, thus finishing the alget.

When introducing elements of the present invention or the preferred embodiments thereof, the articles “a”, “an”, “the” and “said” are intended to mean that there are one or more of the elements. The terms “comprising”, “including” and “having” are intended to be inclusive and mean that there may be additional elements other than the listed elements.

In view of the above, it will be seen that the several objects of the invention are achieved and other advantageous results attained.

As various changes could be made in the above constructions, products, and methods without departing from the scope of the invention, it is intended that all matter contained in the above description and shown in the accompanying drawings shall be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense.
