Claims
- 1. A system for disposing waste articles of at least first, second, third and fourth types, said first type of waste articles being refrigerators including metal bulks containing refrigerant, plastic elements of a foamed plastic material containing foaming agent and other metallic and/or plastic pieces, said second type of waste articles being television receivers including elements of glass and other components of metallic, plastic and/or wooden materials which form frames of the television receivers, said third type of waste articles being laundry machines including metal bulks, metallic or plastic elements and other components, said fourth type of waste articles being air conditioners including metal bulks containing refrigerant and other metallic and/or plastic material, said system comprising:
- refrigerant collecting means;
- large-size glass separation means;
- first feeding means for feeding said first and fourth types of waste articles to said refrigerant collecting means;
- second feeding means for feeding said second type of waste articles to said large-size glass separation means;
- said refrigerant collecting means being operative to extract and collect refrigerant from said metal bulks containing said refrigerant;
- said large-size glass separation means being operative to separate large-size glass elements from said other components;
- metal bulk separation means;
- first transfer means for transferring to said metal bulk separation means said first and fourth types of waste articles from which said refrigerant has been extracted;
- second transfer means for transferring to said metal bulk separation means said second type of waste articles from which said large-size glass elements have been separated;
- third feeding means for feeding said third type of waste articles to said metal bulk separation means;
- said metal bulk separation means being operative to separate metal bulks of at least said first, third and fourth types of waste articles from the other waste components of said waste articles;
- means for crushing said metal bulks and said other waste components into fragments and for separating fragments of light-weight materials from the other waste fragments;
- means for collecting said foaming agent from said fragments of said light-weight materials; and
- means for sorting said other waste fragments into metallic fragments and plastic fragments.
- 2. A system for disposing waste articles of at least first, second, third and fourth types, said first type of waste articles including metal bulks containing refrigerant, plastic elements of a foamed plastic material containing foaming agent and other metallic and/or plastic pieces, said second type of waste articles including elements of glass and other components of metallic, plastic and/or wooden materials which form frames of the second type of waste articles, said third type of waste articles including metal bulks, metallic or plastic elements and other components, said fourth type of waste articles including metal bulks containing refrigerant and other metallic and/or plastic material, said system comprising:
- refrigerant collecting means;
- large-size glass separation means; first feeding means for feeding said first and fourth types of waste articles to said refrigerant collecting means;
- second feeding means for feeding said second type of waste articles to said large-size glass separation means;
- said refrigerant collecting means being operative to extract and collect refrigerant from said metal bulks containing said refrigerant;
- said large-size glass separation means being operative to separate large-size glass elements from said other components;
- metal bulk separation means;
- first transfer means for transferring to said metal bulk separation means said first and fourth types of waste articles from which said refrigerant has been extracted;
- second transfer means for transferring to said metal bulk separation means said second type of waste articles from which said large-size glass elements have been separated;
- third feeding means for feeding said third type of waste articles to said metal bulk separation means;
- said metal bulk separation means being operative to separate metal bulks of at least said first, third and fourth types of waste articles from the other waste components of said waste articles;
- means for crushing said metal bulks and said other waste components into fragments and for separating fragments of light-weight materials from the other waste fragments;
- means for collecting said foaming agent from said fragments of said light-weight materials;
- means for sorting said other waste fragments into metallic fragments and plastic fragments; and
- means for receiving waste articles, for discriminating the thus received waste articles into said first, second, third and fourth types and for conveying the thus discriminated waste articles of said first and fourth types, the discriminated waste articles of said second type and the discriminated waste articles of said third type to said first, second and third feeding means, respectively.
- 3. A waste article disposing system according to claim 2, wherein said first, second, third and fourth types of waste articles have different shapes, and wherein said receiving, discriminating and conveying means include:
- a conveyor for receiving waste articles thereon while said conveyor is operated;
- a shape discrimination device operative to automatically discriminate the waste articles on said conveyor according to the shapes of said waste articles; and
- means for transferring the thus discriminated articles of said first and fourth types, the discriminated waste articles of said second type and the discriminated waste articles of said third type from said conveyor to said first, second and third feeding means, respectively.
- 4. A method of disposing waste articles, comprising the steps of:
- sorting said waste articles into first, second, third and fourth types, said first type of waste articles being refrigerators including metal bulks containing refrigerant, plastic elements of a foamed plastic material containing foaming agent and other metallic and/or plastic pieces, said second type of waste articles being television receivers including elements of glass and other components of metallic, plastic and/or wooden materials which form frames of the television receivers, said third type of waste articles being laundry machines including metal bulks, metallic or plastic elements and other components, said fourth type of waste articles being air conditioners including metal bulks containing refrigerant and other metallic and/or plastic material;
- feeding said first and fourth types of waste articles to refrigerant collecting means;
- feeding said second type of waste articles to a large-size glass separation means;
- said refrigerant collecting means being operative to extract and collect refrigerant from said metal bulks containing said refrigerant;
- said large-size glass separation means being operative to separate large-size glass elements from said other components;
- transferring to metal bulk separation means said first and fourth types of waste articles from which said refrigerant has been extracted;
- transferring to said metal bulk separation means said second type of waste articles from which said large-size glass elements have been separated;
- feeding said third type of waste articles to said metal bulk separation means;
- said metal bulk separation means being operative to separate metal bulks of at least said first, third and fourth types of waste articles from the other waste components of said waste articles;
- crushing said metal bulks and said other waste components into fragments and separating fragments of light-weight materials from the other waste fragments;
- collecting said forming agent from said fragments of said light-weight materials; and
- sorting said other waste fragments into metallic fragments and plastic fragments.
- 5. A system for disposing waste articles of at least first, second, third and fourth types, said first type of waste articles being refrigerators including metal bulks containing refrigerant, plastic elements of a foamed plastic material containing foaming agent and other metallic and/or plastic pieces, said second type of waste articles being television receivers including elements of glass and other components of metallic, plastic and/or wooden materials which form frames of the television receivers, said third type of waste articles being laundry machines including metal bulks, metallic or plastic elements and other components, said fourth type of waste articles being air conditioners including metal bulks containing refrigerant and other metallic and/or plastic material, said system comprising:
- refrigerant collecting means;
- large-size glass separation means;
- first feeding means for feeding said first and fourth types of waste articles to said refrigerant collecting means:
- second feeding means for feeding said second type of waste articles to said large-size glass separation means;
- said refrigerant collecting means being operative to extract and collect refrigerant from said metal bulks containing said refrigerant;
- said large-size glass separation means being operative to separate large-size glass elements from said other components;
- metal bulk separation means;
- first transfer means for transferring to said metal bulk separation means said first and fourth types of waste articles from which said refrigerant has been extracted;
- third feeding means for feeding said third type of waste articles to said metal bulk separation means;
- said metal bulk separation means being operative to separate metal bulks of said first, third and fourth types of waste articles from the other waste components of said waste articles;
- means for crushing said metal bulks and said other waste components into fragments and for separating fragments of light-weight materials from the other waste fragments;
- second transfer means for transferring to said metal bulk crushing means said second type of waste articles from which said large-size glass elements have been separated;
- means for collecting said foaming agent from said fragments of said light-weight materials; and
- means for sorting said other waste fragments into metallic fragments and plastic fragments.
- 6. A system for disposing waste articles of at least first, second, third and fourth types, said first type of waste articles including metal bulks containing refrigerant, plastic elements of a foamed plastic material containing foaming agent and other metallic and/or plastic pieces, said second type of waste articles including elements of glass and other components of metallic, plastic and/or wooden materials which form frames of the second type of waste articles, said third type of waste articles including metal bulks, metallic or plastic elements and other components, said fourth type of waste articles including metal bulks containing refrigerant and other metallic and/or plastic material, said system comprising:
- refrigerant collecting means;
- large-size glass separation means;
- first feeding means for feeding said first and fourth types of waste articles to said refrigerant collecting means;
- second feeding means for feeding said second type of waste articles to said large-size glass separation means;
- said refrigerant collecting means being operative to extract and collect refrigerant from said metal bulks containing said refrigerant;
- said large-size glass separation means being operative to separate large-size glass elements from said other components;
- metal bulk separation means;
- first transfer means for transferring to said metal bulk separation means said first and fourth types of waste articles from which said refrigerant has been extracted;
- third feeding means for feeding said third type of waste articles to said metal bulk separation means;
- said metal bulk separation means being operative to separate metal bulks of at least said first, third and fourth types of waste articles from the other waste components of said waste articles;
- means for crushing said metal bulks and said other waste components into fragments and for separating fragments of light-weight materials from the other waste fragments;
- second transfer means for transferring to said metal bulk crushing means said second type of waste articles from which said large-size glass elements have been separated;
- means for collecting said foaming agent from said fragments of said light-weight materials;
- means for sorting said other waste fragments into metallic fragments and plastic fragments; and
- means for receiving waste articles, for discriminating the thus received waste articles into said first, second, third and fourth types and for conveying the thus discriminated waste articles of said first and fourth types, the discriminated waste articles of said second type and the discriminated waste articles of said third type to said first, second and third feeding means, respectively.
- 7. A waste article disposing system according to claim 6, wherein said first, second, third and fourth types of waste articles have different shapes, and wherein said receiving, discriminating and conveying means include:
- a conveyor for receiving waste articles thereon while said conveyor is operated;
- a shape discrimination device operative to automatically discriminate the waste articles on said conveyor according to the shapes of said waste articles; and
- means for transferring the thus discriminated articles of said first and fourth types, the discriminated waste articles of said second type and the discriminated waste articles of said third type from said conveyor to said first, second and third feeding means, respectively.
- 8. A method of disposing waste articles, comprising the steps of:
- sorting said waste articles into first, second, third and fourth types, said first type of waste articles being refrigerators including metal bulks containing refrigerant, plastic elements of a foamed plastic material containing foaming agent and other metallic and/or plastic pieces, said second type of waste articles being television receivers including elements of glass and other components of metallic, plastic and/or wooden materials which form frames of the television receivers, said third type of waste articles being laundry machines including metal bulks, metallic or plastic elements and other components, said fourth type of waste articles being air conditioners including metal bulks containing refrigerant and other metallic and/or plastic material;
- feeding said first and fourth types of waste articles to refrigerant collecting means; feeding said second type of waste articles to a large-size glass separation means;
- said refrigerant collecting means being operative to extract and collect refrigerant from said metal bulks containing said refrigerant;
- said large-size glass separation means being operative to separate large-size glass elements from said other components;
- transferring to metal bulk separation means said first and fourth types of waste articles from which said refrigerant has been extracted;
- feeding said third type of waste articles to said metal bulk separation means;
- said metal bulk separation means being operative to separate metal bulks of at least said first, third and fourth types of waste articles from the other waste components of said waste articles;
- crushing said metal bulks and said other waste components into fragments and separating fragments of light-weight materials from the other waste fragments;
- also crushing said second type of waste articles from which said large-size glass elements have been separated;
- collecting said forming agent from said fragments of said light-weight materials; and
- sorting said other waste fragments into metallic fragments and plastic fragments.
