Claims
- 1. A thin-plate supporting container, comprising:
- a container body including a chamber for supporting and housing a plurality of thin-plates;
- an opening in the container establishing communication between the chamber and outside of the container, the opening being defined by a perimeter;
- at least one cut-out portion extending outwardly from the perimeter of the opening; and
- a reusable filter including:
- at least one engaging claw, wherein (i) the filter is insertable into the opening in a first direction such that each engaging claw passes through one of the cut-out portions, (ii) each engaging claw is engageable with the container when the filter is disposed in the opening so as to attach the filter to the opening, and (iii) the filter is movable in the opening in a second direction such that each engaging claw passes through one of the cut-out portions so as to detach the filter from the opening; and
- a filter material for removing foreign matters from a gas while allowing the gas to enter and exit the chamber through the opening, such that the internal pressure inside the chamber can be maintained at about the same level as the external pressure outside the chamber while the chamber is maintained in a clean state.
- 2. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 1, wherein the opening is formed in the container body.
- 3. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 2, wherein the container further comprises a lid for covering the container body.
- 4. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 1, further comprising a lid for covering the container body.
- 5. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 1, wherein the filter includes two engaging claws which extend in opposite directions with respect to each other.
- 6. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 1, wherein the filter includes three engaging claws.
- 7. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 1, wherein the opening is formed in the container body, and the container further comprising:
- a lid for covering the container body; and
- a porous gasket disposed in a space between the container body and the lid for removing the foreign matters from the gas while allowing the gas to enter and exit the chamber;
- wherein the gasket is reusable after being removed from and reattached in the space.
- 8. A thin-plate supporting container, comprising:
- a container body including a chamber for supporting and housing a plurality of thin-plates;
- an opening in the container establishing communication between the chamber and outside of the container; and
- a reusable filter detachably mounted in the opening, including:
- a body portion having a peripheral surface;
- a plurality of engaging claws extending from the peripheral surface for engaging the container to removably retain the filter in the opening, the engaging claws each including a resilient leg portion and a claw portion having a tapered outer surface, the engaging claws each having a width about the peripheral surface, and the engaging claws being spaced from each other about the peripheral surface by a distance equal to at least about the width;
- a filter material disposed in the body portion for removing foreign matters from a gas while allowing the gas to enter and exit the chamber through the opening, such that the internal pressure inside the chamber can be maintained at about the same level as the external pressure outside the chamber while the chamber is maintained in a clean state;
- wherein the filter is reusable after being removed from and reattached in the opening.
- 9. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 8, wherein the filter includes two engaging claws which extend in opposite directions with respect to each other.
- 10. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 8, wherein the filter includes three engaging claws.
- 11. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 8, wherein the opening is formed in the container body.
- 12. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 8, wherein the container further comprises a lid for covering the container body.
- 13. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 8, further comprising a lid for covering the container body, and wherein the filter is disposed between the container body and the lid.
- 14. A thin-plate supporting container as set forth in claim 8, wherein the opening is formed in the container body, and the container further comprising:
- a lid for covering the container body; and
- a porous gasket disposed in a space between the container body and the lid for removing the foreign matters from the gas while allowing the gas to enter and exit the chamber;
- wherein the gasket is reusable after being removed from and reattached in the space.
- 15. A semiconductor wafer supporting container, comprising:
- a container body including a chamber;
- a wafer carrier disposed in the chamber for supporting a plurality of semiconductor wafers;
- an opening in the container establishing communication between the chamber and outside of the container;
- a reusable filter including:
- a cylindrical body having a periphery, a first end and a second end opposite to the first end;
- a flange portion extending radially from the circumference of the first end of the cylindrical body for contacting an edge portion of the opening when the cylindrical body is fitted into the opening;
- engaging means disposed at the second end of the cylindrical body for engaging with the container to attach the filter in the opening, the engaging means including a plurality of resilient leg portions extending axially from the second end of the cylindrical body and being spaced from each other about the periphery, wherein (i) the filter is insertable into the opening in a first direction, (ii) the engaging means is engageable with the container when the filter is disposed in the opening so as to attach the filter to the opening, and (iii) the filter is movable in the opening in a second direction such that each engaging claw passes through one of the cut-out portions so as to detach the filter from the opening;
- wherein the engaging means cooperating with the flange portion for clamping the edge portion of the opening when the cylindrical body is fitted into the opening, so as to secure the cylindrical body to the edge portion; and
- a filter material for removing dust from a gas while allowing the gas to enter and exit the chamber through the opening, such that the internal pressure inside the chamber can be maintained at about the same level as the external pressure outside the chamber while the chamber is maintained in a clean state.
- 16. A semiconductor wafer supporting container as set forth in claim 15, wherein the opening is formed in the container body.
- 17. A semiconductor wafer supporting container as set forth in claim 15, wherein the container further comprises a lid for covering the container body.
- 18. A semiconductor wafer supporting container as set forth in claim 15, further comprising a lid for covering the container body, and wherein the filter is disposed between the container body and the lid.
- 19. A semiconductor wafer supporting container as set forth in claim 15, wherein the filter includes two engaging claws which extend in opposite directions with respect to each other.
- 20. A semiconductor wafer supporting container as set forth in claim 15, wherein the filter includes three engaging claws.
- 21. A semiconductor wafer supporting container as set forth in claim 15, wherein the opening is formed in the container body, and the container further comprising:
- a lid for covering the container body; and
- a porous gasket disposed in a space between the container body and the lid for removing the foreign matters from the gas while allowing the gas to enter and exit the chamber;
- wherein the gasket is reusable after being removed from and reattached in the space.
- 22. A semiconductor wafer supporting container as set forth in claim 15, wherein the engaging means comprises:
- three leg portions extending axially from the second end of the cylindrical body; and
- a claw portion extending outwardly from an end of each leg portion.
- 23. A semiconductor wafer supporting container, comprising:
- a container body including a chamber;
- a wafer carrier disposed in the chamber for supporting a plurality of semiconductor wafers;
- an opening in the container establishing communication between the chamber and outside of the container, the opening being defined by a perimeter;
- at least one cut-out portion extending outwardly from the perimeter of the opening;
- a reusable filter including:
- engaging means for engaging with the container to attach the filter in the opening, the engaging means including at least one engaging claw, wherein (i) the filter is insertable into the opening in a first direction such that each engaging claw passes through one of the cut-out portions, (ii) each engaging claw is engageable with the container when the filter is disposed in the opening so as to attach the filter to the opening, and (iii) the filter is movable in the opening in a second direction such that each engaging claw passes through one of the cut-out portions so as to detach the filter from the opening; and
- a filter material for removing dust from a gas while allowing the gas to enter and exit the chamber through the opening, such that the internal pressure inside the chamber can be maintained at about the same level as the external pressure outside the chamber while the chamber is maintained in a clean state.
