Abstract

The present invention is directed to a tissue box with an incorporated trash receptacle to dispose of the used tissue, and an opening and closing means operably connected to the trash receptacle.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates to a tissue box, such as for facial tissue, having an opening to place used tissue.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

U.S. Pat. No. 7,490,734 Title: Combination Tissue Dispenser and Trash Receptacle

This invention has an aperture 45 for a trash receptacle disposed in a separate compartment below the tissue compartment.

U.S. Pat. No. 4,919,302 discloses a tissue box with a used tissue compartment box 12 adjacent to the box of tissue.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,371,296 discloses a container for two (2) boxes of tissue side by side. The empty box can be used for trash.

Current tissue boxes are used in homes, offices, and motor vehicles. After a tissue is used, the user then has to locate a trash can or toilet to dispose of the used tissue.

Your invention is a tissue box with doors to access a trash compartment.

There is need for a tissue box to have a feature of having a trash receptacle incorporated into the same tissue box, in between the clean sheets of tissue.

There is a need to solve a littering problem with used tissue.

Multiple embodiments of the system are disclosed herein. It will be understood that other objects and purposes of the invention, and variations thereof, will be apparent upon reading the following specification and inspecting the accompanying drawings.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One aspect of the present invention is a tissue box with a trash receptacle 10, comprising: a trash receptacle 30 disposed inside an aperture 60 of a tissue box; an opening and closing means 20 operably connected to said trash receptacle 30; whereby the opening and closing means 20 can be opened to place tissue in said trash receptacle 30 and said opening and closing mean 20 can be closed to retain trash in said trash receptacle 30.

Another aspect of the present invention is a tissue box with a trash receptacle 10, consisting of: a trash receptacle 30 disposed inside an aperture 60 of a tissue box; an opening and closing means 20 operably connected to said trash receptacle 30.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The following detailed description is of the best currently contemplated modes of carrying out the invention. The description is not to be taken in a limiting sense, but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention, since the scope of the invention is best defined by the appended claims.

For example, the words “upwardly,” “downwardly,” “rightwardly,” and “leftwardly” will refer to directions in the drawings to which reference is made. The words “inwardly” and “outwardly” will refer to directions toward and away from, respectively, the geometric center of the system and designated parts. Said terminology will include the words specifically mentioned, derivatives, and similar words. Also, “connected to,” “secured to,” or similar language includes the definitions “indirectly connected to,” “directly connected to,” “indirectly secured to,” and “directly secured to.”

FIG. 1 illustrates one embodiment of the present invention 10, which may be referred to as a housing, container or tissue box with a trash receptacle 10, or modified tissue box 10. The housing or tissue box 10 may have an opening and closing means 20. In one embodiment the opening and closing means 20 is a door 50 that can open and close, as seen in FIG. 3. The opening and closing means 20 may access an aperture 60, as seen in FIGS. 2 and 3. There may be one door 50 or two doors 50 as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 3. The door 50 or doors 50 may open outwardly, or inwardly as illustrated in FIG. 3. The doors 50 may be cardboard and may have bent cardboard as the hinge 80. Once the cardboard is bent, then the door can easily be opened and closed via the bent cardboard hinge 80.

FIG. 1 also discloses a front wall 100, an opposed rear wall 110, and a side wall 120 connected between the front wall 100 and the rear wall 110, a top wall 130 and an opposed bottom wall 140 to form a cube.

A trash receptacle 30 may be disposed in the aperture 60 so the user can open the opening and closing means 20 so the used tissue or other debris can be placed in the trash receptacle 30. The trash receptacle 30 may be a plastic bag 30.

FIG. 2 illustrates the inside of a modified box 10. Generally, tissue 40 is organized and disposed in an upside down U orientation, as seen in FIG. 2. FIG. 2 illustrates tissue 40 disposed adjacent to a front wall 100 and extending to a rear wall 110, and the top layer of the tissue 40 extends upwardly from a tissue exit aperture 90.

In the present invention 10, a trash receptacle 30 may be disposed in the modified box 10, and the trash receptacle 30 may be connected to a wall 70 that has the opening and closing means 20. The trash receptacle 30 may be disposed in the aperture 60.

The trash receptacle 30 may be disposed inside the cube between the layered tissue 40.

FIG. 2 illustrates that between the layered tissue 40 in the cube is defined an opening between tissue 150. When the doors 50 open, the user has access to the opening between tissue 150. A used tissue 40 may be placed in through the door (50) into the opening between tissue 150.

FIG. 3 illustrates the opening and closing means 20 with the doors 50 displaced inwardly to the user may then place the used tissue in the trash receptacle 30. When at least one door 50 is opened, by either displacing the door inwardly as illustrated in FIG. 3, or outwardly, a tissue 40 may be placed in the trash receptacle 30. The trash receptacle 30 may be a bag 30 that can expand as tissue 40 is placed in the bag 30. And typically as a new tissue 40 is pulled from the modified box 10, more room is created in the aperture 60, thus as more trash is placed in the trash receptacle 30, it can expand to receive more trash.

The present invention 10 may be constructed by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or it can be constructed after the standard prior art tissue box is initially constructed, before sale to the consumer.

It should be understood, of course, that the foregoing relates to exemplary embodiments of the invention and that modifications may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following claims.

Claims

1. A tissue box (10), comprising: six walls (70) that form a cube;layered tissue (40) inside said cube;the top tissue (40) extending outwardly from a tissue exit aperture (90);an opening between tissue (150); andan aperture (60) in a side wall (120) whereby said aperture (60) is adjacent to said opening between tissue (150).

2. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising: said layered tissue (40) adjacently disposed to a front wall (100) and adjacently disposed to a rear wall (110);a door (50) disposed on said side wall (120); whereby said aperture (60) can be closed; andwhereby said door (50) can open to provide access to said opening between tissue (150).

3. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising: a trash receptacle (30) inside said opening between tissue (150) accessible via said aperture (60).

4. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising: a hinge (80) connecting said door (50) to said wall (70).

5. A tissue box (10), consisting essentially of: six walls (70) that form a cube;layered tissue (40) inside said cube;the top tissue (40) extending outwardly from a tissue exit aperture (90);an opening between tissue (150); andan aperture (60) in a side wall (120) whereby said aperture (60) is adjacent to said opening between tissue (150).

6. The apparatus of claim 5, further consisting essentially of: said layered tissue (40) adjacently disposed to a front wall (100) and adjacently disposed to a rear wall (110);a door (50) disposed on said side wall (120); whereby said aperture (60) can be closed; andwhereby said door (50) can open to provide access to said opening between tissue (150).

7. The apparatus of claim 6, further consisting essentially of: a trash receptacle (30) inside said opening between tissue (150) accessible via said aperture (60).

8. The apparatus of claim 7 further consisting essentially of: a hinge (80) connecting said door (50) to said wall (70).

9. A container (10), comprising: a housing (10);a tissue extending aperture (90) disposed in a portion of said housing (10);layered tissue (40) disposed in said housing (10) having the top tissue extending outwardly from said tissue extending aperture (90)an opening between tissue (150) between said tissue (40) inside said housing; andan aperture (60) adjacent to said opening between tissue (150).

10. The housing (10) of claim 7, further comprising: a door (50) connected to said housing (10) having a hinge (80) adjacent to said aperture (60); andsaid door (50) hingedly connected to said hinge (80),whereby sad door (50) can cover the aperture (60).
