Claims
- 1. A method of manufacturing photovoltaic modules, the method comprising the steps of:
advancing a plurality of photovoltaic cells; and ultrasonically dividing a subset of the plurality of photovoltaic cells into one or more photovoltaic modules.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein dividing step includes substantially and concurrently cutting and sealing the subset of photovoltaic cells into one or more photovoltaic modules.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of photovoltaic cells comprises a substantially continuous flexible sheet of photovoltaic cells.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein advancing step is performed as part of a continuous manufacturing process.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein the continuous manufacturing process comprises a roll-based process.
- 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of photovoltaic cells is flexible.
- 7. The method of claim 2, wherein cutting and sealing forms a leading edge on a proximal portion of the one or more photovoltaic modules.
- 8. The method of claim 2, wherein cutting and sealing forms a trailing edge on a distal portion of the one or more photovoltaic modules.
