Claims
- 1. A polypeptide fragment, wherein said polypeptide fragment binds to antibodies in LAS patient sera, and wherein said polypeptide fragment comprises an HIV-1MAL epitope that does not react with antibodies directed against specific epitopes of HIV-1 IIIB, HIV-1BRU, HIV-1ARV-2, or HIV-1ELI.
- 2. The polypeptide fragment of claim 1, wherein said polypeptide fragment comprises 5-150 amino acid residues.
- 3. An immunogenic composition comprising the polypeptide fragment of claim 1.
- 4. An immunogenic composition comprising the polypeptide fragment of claim 2.
- 5. A polypeptide fragment, wherein said polypeptide fragment binds to antibodies in LAS patient sera, and wherein said polypeptide fragment comprises an HIV-1MAL epitope that does not react with antibodies directed against specific epitopes of HIV-1IIIB, HLV-1BRU, or HIV-1ARV-2.
- 6. The polypeptide fragment of claim 5, wherein said polypeptide fragment comprises 5-150 amino acid residues.
