Claims
- 1. A vibratory gyroscope comprising:
- signal generating means for generating a driving signal;
- a vibrator including a rod-like vibratable body;
- a plurality of piezoelectric means mounted on a side face of said vibratable body, said plurality of piezoelectric means connected to said signal generating means, said plurality of piezoelectric means for driving said vibrator with said driving signal and for feeding back a signal generated by said vibrator due to said driving signal;
- at least one variable resistor having three first terminals, two of said first terminals coupled respectively to two of said plurality of piezoelectric means, and a remaining of said first terminals coupled to a remaining of said plurality of piezoelectric means through said signal generating means; and
- two second terminals of said variable resistor coupled respectively to each of said two of said plurality of said piezoelectric means, and an output from said two second terminals used for detecting rotational angular velocity.
- 2. A vibratory gyroscope according to claim 1 wherein a total number of side faces of said vibrating body is three.
- 3. A vibrating gyroscope according to claim 1 wherein a number of said piezoelectric means is three.
- 4. A vibratory gyroscope according to claim 1 further comprising a differential amplifier connected to said remaining piezoelectric means, said differential amplifier having an operational amplifier with an inversion input terminal grounded via a resistance.
- 5. A vibratory gyroscope comprising:
- a vibrator including a rod-like vibratable body;
- three piezoelectric means for driving and detecting said vibrator are associated respectively with a side face of said vibratable body, wherein one of said three piezoelectric means is used as a driving means for driving said vibrator, and remaining two of said three piezoelectric means used as a detecting means for detecting rotational angular velocity; and
- an oscillator having two inputs and an output coupled to said driving means, said oscillator including
- a resistance coupled between said two inputs, said resistance having an output, and
- an amplifier having a) an input side coupled to said output of said resistance and b) an output side coupled to said driving means for feeding back a signal to said driving means,
- said detecting means connected to said two inputs.
- 6. A vibratory gyroscope according to claim 5 further comprising a differential amplifier connected to said remaining piezoelectric means, said differential amplifier having an operational amplifier with an inversion input terminal grounded via a resistance.
- 7. A vibratory gyroscope comprising:
- a signal generating means for generating a driving signal;
- a vibrator including a rod-like vibratable body; and
- a piezoelectric means mounted on two side face of said vibratable body and connected to said signal generating means,
- wherein one of said two piezoelectric means is used for driving said vibratable body and for detecting rotational angular velocity, and
- the other of said two piezoelectric means is used for feeding back a signal to said signal generating means.
- 8. A vibratory gyroscope in accordance with claim 7, wherein said signal generating means is an oscillator.
- 9. A vibratory gyroscope in accordance with claim 7, wherein said signal generating means is connected between said two piezoelectric means.
- 10. A vibratory gyroscope in accordance with claim 7, which further comprises a differential amplifier connected to said one of said two piezoelectric means.
- 11. A vibratory gyroscope in accordance with claim 10, wherein said differential amplifier includes an operation amplifier having an inversion input terminal, said inversion input terminal is grounded via a resistor.
- 12. A vibratory gyroscope in accordance with claim 10, which further comprises
- a synchronizing detection circuit coupled to said differential amplifier, and
- a smoothing circuit coupled to said synchronizing detection circuit.
- 13. A vibratory gyroscope in accordance with claim 7, wherein said vibratable body is triangular in cross section.
- 14. A vibratory gyroscope in accordance with claim 7, wherein said vibratable body is quadrangular in cross section.
- 15. A vibratory gyroscope in accordance with claim 7, which further comprises a supporting member connected to a vicinity of a nodal point of said vibratable body, wherein said supporting member is fixed to a supporting substrate, said supporting substrate is fixed to a supporting base via a buffer.
- 16. A vibratory gyroscope in accordance with claim 15, wherein said supporting substrate is dividely formed on said supporting base via said buffer.
