Claims
- 1. A film bonding apparatus by which a continuous film is cut off to a prescribed length and then attached to a base plate, said film bonding apparatus including a rotary cutter for cutting said film, said rotary cutter comprising a rotary cutting member and a fixed cutting member which are provided in such positions as to extend across said film, said rotary cutter having an axis of rotation and having means for holding said rotary cutter and said fixed cutting member with said axis of rotation in a fixed position with respect to said fixed cutting member and for releasing one of said rotary cutter and said fixed cutting member to permit said rotary cutter and said fixed cutting member to be freely slidable with respect to one another in a predetermined direction.
- 2. An apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein said direction is transverse to said axis of rotation.
- 3. A film bonding apparatus having a rotary cutter for cutting a continuous film to a predetermined length before attaching said film to a base plate, said rotary cutter comprising:
- a rotary cutting member having an axis of rotation and extending across said film;
- a fixed cutting member extending across said film;
- said rotary cutting member being rotatably supported by a sliding rest, said sliding rest being slidably mounted on support plates, which are coupled to the apparatus, so as to allow said sliding rest to move relative to said film;
- said sliding rest being capable of one being fixed in a predetermined position relative to said slide plates or movable relative to said slide plates so as to move said rotary cutting member away from said film;
- said fixed cutting member being fixed proximate a holding member, said holding member being located on a side of said film opposite said rotary cutting member and also being movable relative to said film.
