Claims
- 1. An apparatus for manufacturing a ceramic lamina comprising:
- a reel stand for holding a plurality of reels wound with a plurality of types of elongated mother ceramic sheets each having a plurality of electrode patterns, and a plurality of registration marks, said registration marks having predetermined relative locations on said sheets with respect to said electrode patterns, distributed along its longitudinal direction, said reels being held substantially parallel with each other;
- a plurality of sheet cutting stages located for receiving and positioning said mother ceramic sheets drawn out from respective ones of said plurality of reels;
- a stacking jig disposed for receiving ceramic sheets obtained by punching respective regions, each including at least one of said electrode patterns, from said mother ceramic sheets;
- an optical sensor disposed for detecting positions of said registration marks of said mother ceramic sheets when disposed on said sheet cutting stages; and
- a cutting head which is movable between said plurality of sheet cutting stages and said stacking jig and having a periphery enclosed with a cutting edge for punching regions of said mother ceramic sheets including said electrode patterns, said cutting head having means adapted to carry ceramic sheets punched out from said mother ceramic sheets from said sheet cutting stages to said stacking jig.
- 2. An apparatus for manufacturing a ceramic lamina in accordance with claim 1, wherein said sheet cutting stages include first conveyor means for intermittently drawing said mother ceramic sheets from said reels.
- 3. An apparatus for manufacturing a ceramic lamina in accordance with claim 2, wherein each said first conveyor means comprises a mesh belt and means for intermittently driving the same while carrying said mother ceramic sheets from said reels and a suction device for securing said mother ceramic sheet by vacuum applied through said mesh belt.
- 4. An apparatus for manufacturing a ceramic lamina in accordance with claim 1, wherein said stacking jig comprises a bottom wall and a frame structured and arranged for peripherally enclosing said ceramic sheets stacked on said bottom wall.
- 5. An apparatus for manufacturing a ceramic lamina in accordance with claim 1, further comprising second conveyor means for carrying said stacking jig.
- 6. An apparatus for manufacturing a ceramic lamina in accordance with claim 1, further comprising XY.theta. robot means capable of moving both said optical sensor and said cutting head.
- 7. An apparatus for manufacturing a ceramic lamina in accordance with claim 10, wherein said second conveyor means in capable of aligning said stacking jig with respective ones of said reels held in said reel stand.
