Claims
- 1. An isolated Chlamydia pneumoniae antigenic polypeptide which is capable of binding to an antibody that recognizes the polypeptide consisting of amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1, which comprises a polypeptide A comprising a sequence of at least 5 consecutive amino acids in the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:1.
- 2. The antigenic polypeptide of claim 1, wherein said polypeptide A comprises a polypeptide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 in which at least one amino acid and at most 250 amino acids is/are deleted.
- 3. The antigenic polypeptide of claim 1, wherein said polypeptide A comprises:a polypeptide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 in which at least one amino acid and at most 100 amino acids is/are replaced with other amino acid, or a polypeptide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 in which at least one amino acid and at most 100 amino acids is/are inserted or deleted.
- 4. The antigenic polypeptide of claim 1, wherein said polypeptide is a chimera comprising said polypeptide A fused to a different polypeptide sequence.
- 5. An isolated Chlamydia pneumoniae antigenic polypeptide, which comprises polypeptide A containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1.
- 6. An isolated Chlamydia pneumoniae antigenic polypeptide, which comprises polypeptide A containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.
- 7. An isolated Chlamydia pneumoniae antigenic polypeptide which comprises polypeptide A containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5.
- 8. The antigenic polypeptide of claim 1, wherein said polypeptide A comprises a sequence of at least 20 consecutive amino acids in the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 1.
- 9. The antigenic polypeptide of claim 1, wherein said polypeptide A comprises a sequence of at least 100 consecutive amino acids in the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 1.
- 10. The antigenic polypeptide of claim 1, wherein said polypeptide A comprises a sequence of at least 250 consecutive amino acids in the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 1.
- 11. A reagent for detection and/or measurement of an anti-Chlamydia pneumoniae antibody, which comprises the antigenic polypeptide of any one of claims 1-7 as an antigen.
- 12. A reagent for diagnosis of a Chlamydia pneumoniae infection, which comprises the antigenic polypeptide of any one of claims 1-7 as an active ingredient.
- 13. A fused protein of a Chlamydia pneumoniae antigenic polypeptide with dihydrofolate reductase, wherein the Chlamydia pneumoniae antigenic polypeptide which is capable of binding to an antibody that recognizes the polypeptide consisting of amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, which contains a sequence of at least 5 consecutive amino acids in the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 1 and is fused to the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 14 either directly or via an intervening amino acid or amino acid sequence.
- 14. The fused protein of claim 13, wherein said polypeptide B further comprises a polypeptide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 in which at least one amino acid and at most 250 amino acids is/are deleted.
- 15. The fused protein of claim 13, wherein said polypeptide B comprises:a polypeptide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 in which at least one amino acid and at most 100 amino acids is/are replaced with other amino acid, or a polypeptide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 in which at least one amino acid and at most 100 amino acids is/are inserted or deleted.
- 16. A fused protein of a Chlamydia pneumoniae antigenic polypeptide with dihydrofolate reductase, which comprises a polypeptide containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 15.
- 17. A fused protein of a Chlamydia pneumoniae antigenic polypeptide with dihydrofolate reductase, which comprises a polypeptide containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 16.
- 18. The fused protein of claim 13, wherein said polypeptide A comprises a sequence of at least 20 consecutive amino acids in the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 1.
- 19. The fused protein of claim 13, wherein said polypeptide A comprises a sequence of at least 100 consecutive amino acids in the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 1.
- 20. The fused protein of claim 13, wherein said polypeptide A comprises a sequence of at least 250 consecutive amino acids in the polypeptide of SEQ ID NO: 1.
- 21. The antigenic polypeptide of claim 3 or claim 13, wherein said polypeptide A comprises a polypeptide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 in which at least five amino acids and at most 100 amino acids are replaced with other amino acid.
- 22. A reagent for detection and/or measurement of an anti-Chlamydia pneumoniae antibody, which comprises the fused protein of any one of claims 13-17 as an antigen.
- 23. A reagent for diagnosis of a Chlamydia pneumoniae infection, which comprises the fused protein of any one of claims 13-17 as an active ingredient.
- 24. A method for production of an anti-Chlamydia pneumoniae antibody, comprising the steps of:immunizing an animal with an antigen comprising the polypeptide of any one of claims 1-7 or comprising the fused protein of any one of claims 13-17, and isolating an anti-Chlamydia pneumoniae antibody from the immunized animal.
- 25. A method for production of an anti-Chlamydia pneumoniae antibody, comprising the steps of:immunizing an animal with an antigen comprising the polypeptide of any one of claims 1-7 or comprising the fused protein of any one of claims 13-17, separating a spleen cell from said immunized animal; fusing said spleen cell with a myeloma cell line to produce hybridomas, selecting a hybridoma recognizing said antigen, and producing an anti-Chlamydia pneumoniae antibody using the selected hybridoma.
- 26. The method of claim 25, wherein said animal is a mouse.
- 27. The method of claim 25, wherein said animal is a rat.
