- 2. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said photosensitive resin of said each microcapsule of said photosensitive web is curable upon exposure to said rays of the reflected light, so as to vary a mechanical strength of said each microcapsule according to an amount of exposure of the microcapsule to said rays, said microcapsules in said image-wise exposed portion of the photosensitive web being ruptured to permit said chromogenic material to come out of the ruptured microcapsules, to an extent determined by said mechanical strength, while said image-wise exposed portion and said cut sheet are passed through said pressure nip.
- 3. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said feeding device comprises a feed roll from which said photosensitive web is supplied toward said pressure nip of said nip rollers, and a take-up roll which rewind the image-wise exposed length of the photosensitive web which has passed through said pressure nip.
- 4. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a separating device disposed downstream of said developing device in a feeding direction, for bending only said photosensitive web so as to separate the image-wise exposed portion of said web from said recording cut sheet.
- 5. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a separating device including a single separator roller disposed downstream of said developing device in a feeding direction for bending said photosensitive web, and a guide for guiding said recording cut sheet so as to move straight forward past said separator roller.

A copying apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a separating device including a first and a second separator roller disposed downstream of said developing device in a feeding direction, said first separator roller having a first radius of curvature along which the superposed photosensitive web and recording cut sheet fed from said developing device are bent, to one of opposite sides of said superposed web and cut sheet, said second separator roller extending parallel to said first separator roller, and having a second radius of curvature along which said superposed web and cut sheet bent by said first separator roller are bent to the other side of the superposed web and cut sheet, by a first and a second angle, respectively, so as to permit said web and cut sheet to be separated from each other while said web and cut sheet are fed past said second separator roller.
- 7. A copying apparatus operable with an original having an image-bearing surface on which images to be reproduced are supported, comprising:
- an image-illuminating device operable to produce a light for illuminating said image-bearing surface of the original;
- a photosensitive web disposed for exposure to the light reflected by said image-bearing surface of the original, said photosensitive web having a multiplicity of microcapsules each of which contains a chromogenic material, and a photosensitive resin which is sensitive to rays included in the light reflected by said image-bearing surface of the original;
- an optical system for converging and thereby focusing said reflected light on a surface of said photosensitive web, to image-wise expose said microcapsules, for forming latent images corresponding to said images on said original;
- a recording cut sheet having a developer layer with which said chromogenic material of each said microcapsule of said photosensitive web is adapted to react;
- a developing device for superposing said recording cut sheet and an image-wise exposed portion of said photosensitive web on each other, so as to cause an image-wise reaction between said chromogenic material of said microcapsules and said developer layer, thereby developing said latent images on said photosensitive web into visible images on said recording cut sheet; and
- a separating device disposed downstream of said developing device in a feeding direction, for bending only said photosensitive web so as to separate the image-wise exposed portion of said web from said recording cut sheet.
