Claims
- 1. A digital key telephone system comprising a main unit connected to a communication network through an office line, accommodating a plurality of extension lines, and having at least a function of switching and connecting the office line to the plurality of extension lines or the extension lines to each other, and a plurality of extension terminals having a plurality of line selection keys each corresponding to the office line or the extension line and connected to the plurality of extension lines, characterized by comprising:line holding means for holding the office line or the extension line corresponding to one of the plurality of line selection keys; storage means for storing first holding information associated with the office line or the extension line held by said line holding means and second holding information representing said one of the plurality of the line selection keys corresponding to the office line or the extension line; notification means for notifying the main unit, when a request for displaying the information associated with the held office line or the held extension line is input by a user through an extension terminal; transfer means for transferring, when the main unit is notified of the request for displaying the information from the extension terminal, the first and second holding information read out from the storage means by the main unit to the extension terminal through which the request for displaying the information is made; first display means for displaying the first holding information transferred from the main unit on the extension terminal through which the request for displaying the information is made; and second display means for displaying the second holding information transferred from the main unit on the extension terminal through which the request for displaying the information is made in response to a display operation of the first holding information.
- 2. A digital key telephone system according to claim (1), characterized in that when indication lamps are arranged in correspondence with the line selection keys, said second display means turns on an indication lamp corresponding to the office line or the extension line for which the holding information is being displayed by said first display means.
- 3. A digital key telephone system according to claim (1), characterized in that said first and second display means simultaneously display the information associated with the held office line or extension line and the information representing the line selection key corresponding to the office line or the extension line on a display device of the extension terminal.
- 4. An extension terminal device connected to an extension line of a main unit connected to a communications network through an office line, accommodating a plurality of extension lines, and having at least a function of switching and connecting the office line to the plurality of extension lines or the extension lines to each other, and line holding means for holding the office line or the extension line, characterized by comprising:a plurality of line selection keys each corresponding to the office line or the extension line; input means for a user to input a request for displaying information associated with the held office line; notification means for notifying the main unit of the request for displaying the information input by the input means; reception means for receiving first holding information associated with the held office lines or lines or the held extension lines sent by the main unit in response to notification of the request of displaying the information and second holding information representing the line selection keys corresponding to the office lines or the extension lines; first display means for displaying the first holding information received by the reception means; and second display means for displaying the second holding information received by the reception means in response to a display operation of the first holding information.
- 5. An extension terminal device according to claim (4), characterized in that said first display means selectively displays a number representing the held extension line or office line, calling line identification information, a directory number, and information representing a user name.
- 6. A digital key telephone system comprising a main unit connected, through an office line, to a communication network having a function of transmitting a ringing signal including calling line identification information,accommodating a plurality of extension lines, and having at least a function of switching and connecting the office line to the plurality of extension lines or the extension lines to each other, and a plurality of extension terminals connected to the plurality of extension lines of said main unit, comprising: a plurality of storage means for storing information associated with the extension lines in correspondence with the respective extension lines; display control means for, when a request for displaying information stored in said storage means is issued from an extension terminal in a standby state, reading out the stored information from storage means corresponding to the extension terminal which has sent the display request, and sending the information to the extension terminal which has sent the display request to display the information; means for, when a call addressed to the extension terminal by said display control means, causing the extension terminal to perform a call reception notification operation while maintaining the stored information display operation; and means for, when a call answering operation is performed by the extension terminal performing the call reception notification operation, causing the extension terminal to end the stored information display operation and instead perform an operation of displaying calling line identification information arriving from the communication network upon call reception.
