- between substantially 10 percent and substantially 40 percent by weight of solids including (i) substantially 5 percent to substantially 90 percent by weight of polymer resin, and (ii) substantially 3 percent to substantially 80 percent by weight of a conductive powder; and
- between substantially 1 percent and substantially 7 percent by weight plasticizers.
- 2. A liquid according to claim 1, wherein said solvent comprises between substantially 65 percent and substantially 80 percent by weight of the liquid, said solvent comprising:
- between substantially 60 percent and substantially 95 percent by weight of esters;
- between substantially 3 percent and substantially 20 percent by weight ether glycols; and
- between substantially 3 percent and substantially 20 percent by weight ketones.
- 3. A liquid according to claim 2, wherein said conductive powders are substantially 5 to substantially 10 microns in diameter, and are selected from the group consisting of aluminum, graphite, gold, and silver.
- 4. A liquid according to claim 3, wherein said polymer resin comprises a polyester.
- 5. A liquid according to claim 4, wherein said plasticizers comprise dioctylphatalate.
- 6. A liquid according to claim 1, wherein said solvent comprises substantially 72 percent by weight of the liquid, said solids comprises substantially 25 percent by weight of the liquid, and said plasticizers comprise substantially 3 percent by weight of the liquid.
- 7. A method of making an electrically-conductive liquid for directly printing an electrical circuit component onto a substrate, comprising the steps of:
- providing a solvent fluid having substantially 80 percent esters, 10 percent by weight ether glycols, and 10 percent by weight ketones, said solvent comprising substantially 72 percent by weight of the liquid;
- adding to said solvent solids comprising substantially 72 percent by weight polymeric resin and substantially 28 percent by weight conductive powder, said solids comprising substantially 25 percent by weight of the liquid; and
- adding to said solvent and solids plasticizers comprising substantially 3 percent by weight of the liquid.
- 8. An electrically-conductive gravure printing liquid for directly printing an electrical circuit component onto a substrate, comprising:
- between substantially 55 percent and substantially 85 percent by weight of a solvent, said solvent comprising between substantially 60 percent and substantially 95 percent esters, between substantially 3 percent and substantially 20 percent by weight glycols, and between substantially 3 percent and substantially 20 percent ketones;
