Claims
- 1. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a solid sample heating means for heating said object to be inspected, said solid sample heating means being installed at a tip portion of said sample introduction probe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus is performed before sampling of the gas sample; and wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 2. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe comprises a bendable pipe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus is performed before sampling of the gas sample; and wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 3. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a handle installed at a tip of said sample introduction probe for handling said sample introduction probe, and a switch for a pump connecting said sample introduction probe and a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions, said switch being installed at a position near said handle; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus is performed before sampling the gas sample; and wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 4. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a handle installed at a tip of said sample introduction probe for handling said sample introduction probe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus is performed before sampling the gas sample; and wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 5. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means far moving am object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a solid sample heating means far heating said object to be inspected, and said solid sample heating means is installed at a tip portion of said sample introduction probe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and far subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein, after an analysis of the sampled gas, an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus is performed; wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 6. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a bendable pipe; a pipe far introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein, after an analysis of the sampled gas, an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus is performed; and wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 7. Am explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a handle installed at a tip of said sample introduction probe for handling said sample introduction probe, and a switch for a pump connecting said sample introduction probe and a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions, said switch being installed at a position near said handle; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein, after an analysis of the sampled gas, an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus is performed; and wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or an explosive is present in said abject to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 8. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a handle installed at a tip of said sample introduction probe for handling said sample introduction probe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein, after an analysis of the sampled gas, an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus is performed; and wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 9. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a solid sample heating means for heating said object to be inspected, and said solid sample heating means is installed at a tip portion of said sample introduction probe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein, while said object to be inspected is moving, sampling of the gas sample is performed; and wherein said sample explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 10. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a bendable pipe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein, while said object to be inspected is moving, sampling of the gas sample is performed; and wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 11. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a handle installed at a tip of said sample introduction probe for handling said sample introduction probe, and a switch for a pump connecting said sample introduction probe and a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions, said switch being installed at a position near said handle; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein, while said object to be inspected is moving, sampling of the gas sample is performed; and wherein said sample explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 12. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a handle installed at a tip of said sample introduction probe for handling said sample introduction probe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein, while said object to be inspected is moving, sampling of the gas sample is performed; and wherein said sample explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 13. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a solid sample heating means for heating said object to be inspected, and said solid sample heating means is installed at a tip portion of said sample introduction probe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus and an inspection by an analysis of the sampled gas are performed at the same time; and wherein said sample explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 14. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving am object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected, wherein said sample introduction probe includes a bendable pipe; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus and an inspection by an analysis of the sampled gas are performed at the same time; and wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis results of the sampled gas.
- 15. An explosive detection system comprising:
an X-ray inspection apparatus; moving means for moving an object to be inspected to said X-ray inspection apparatus; a sample introduction probe for sampling a gas sample from said object to be inspected; a pipe for introducing the sampled gas into a corona discharge region and for subjecting the sampled gas to negative corona discharge to ionize the sampled gas and to generate negative ions; and a mass spectrometer to analyze the mass of the negative ions of the sampled gas and to provide results thereof; wherein the explosive detection system inspects whether or not an explosive is present in said object to be inspected, from the analysis result of the sampled gas; wherein said sample introduction probe includes at least one of (a) a solid sample heating means for heating said object to be inspected, said solid sample heating means being installed at a tip portion of said sample introduction probe, (b) a bendable pipe, and (c) a handle installed at a tip of said sample introduction probe for handling said sample introduction probe; and wherein at least one of (i) an inspection by said X-ray inspection apparatus is performed at least one of (a) before sampling of the gas sample, (b) after an analysis of the sampled gas, and (c) at the same time as an inspection by an analysis of the sampled gas, and (ii) said sampling of the gas sample is performed while said object to be inspected is moving.
- 16. An explosive detection system according to claim 15, wherein said sample introduction probe includes said handle installed at the tip of said sample introduction probe, and further comprising a switch for a pump connecting said sample introduction probe and said pipe for introducing the sampled gas into the corona discharge region, said switch being installed at a position near said handle.
