Claims
- 1. A device for providing angular displacement of a shaft generally aligned along a single axis in a direction selected from at least one of the X and Y directions with respect to said single axis, comprising:
- a first opening along said single axis for a beam of light to enter one end of said device;
- a second opening along said single axis for said beam of light to exit said device; and
- optical means coupled to said shaft for moving said beam in response only to movement of said shaft caused by an electromagnetic field about said single axis, which movement permits said beam to exit said device as a scanned beam proceeding forward in the same general direction as the entering beam.
