Claims
- 1. A method for rinsing a synthetic sponge material, said synthetic sponge material being formed through a process which leaves residue or particulate matter in pore spaces of the synthetic sponge material, said apparatus comprising the steps:introducing a rinsing solution into pores of the sponge material; and changing the hydrostatic pressure of the rinsing solution in the pores of the sponge material.
- 2. A method has recited in claim 1, wherein said introducing step comprises causing rinsing solution to flow through a conduit that communicates with a container holding the sponge material.
- 3. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein said introducing step comprises soaking the sponge material in a rinsing solution.
- 4. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein said changing step comprises rotating a container holding the sponge material to generate centrifugal force acting on the rinsing solution.
- 5. A method as recited in claim 2, wherein said changing step comprises varying pressure of rinsing fluid in the conduit.
- 6. A method as recited in claim 5, wherein said changing step further comprises rotating a container holding the sponge material to generate centrifugal force acting on the rinsing solution.
- 7. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein said changing step comprises generating pulses of hydrostatic pressure in the rinsing solution.
- 8. A method as recited in claim 6, wherein said changing step further comprises conducting said rotating and said varying steps in concert.
