Claims
- 1. A mixed immunological preparation for concurrent specific binding to multiple epitopes presented by spatially exposed regions of immobilized vascular permeability factor (VPF) bound in-vivo to endothelial cells of a tumor-associated blood vessel, said immunological preparation comprising not less than two types of conjugate molecules in admixture,
- (a) wherein a first type of conjugate molecule comprises
- at least the binding portion of a first antibody which binds specifically to an epitope presented by a spatially exposed region of VPF bound to a tumor associated blood vessel in-vivo, and
- a single type of effector moiety covalently bound to said first antibody; and
- (b) wherein a second type of conjugate molecule comprises
- at least the binding portion of a second antibody which binds specifically to another epitope presented by a spatially exposed region of VPF bound to a tumor-associated blood vessel in-vivo, and
- said single type of effector moiety covalently bound to said second antibody.
- 2. A mixed immunological preparation for concurrent specific binding to a single epitope presented by a spatially exposed region of immobilized vascular permeability factor (VPF) bound in-vivo to endothelial cells of a tumor-associated blood vessel, said immunological preparation comprising not less than two types of conjugate molecules in admixture,
- (a) wherein a first type of conjugate molecule comprises
- at least the binding portion of a single type of antibody which binds specifically to an epitope presented by a spatially exposed region of immobilized VPF bound to a tumor-associated blood vessel in-vivo, and
- a first type of effector moiety covalently bound to said single type of antibody; and
- (b) wherein a second type of conjugate molecule comprises
- at least the binding portion of said single type of antibody which binds specifically to said epitope presented by a spatially exposed region of immobilized VPF bound to a tumor-associated blood vessel in-vivo, and
- a second type of effector moiety covalently bound to said single type of antibody.
- at least the binding portion of an first antibody which binds specifically to an epitope presented by a spatially exposed region of immobilized VPF bound to a tumor-associated blood vessel in-vivo, and
- a first type of effector moiety covalently bound to said first antibody; and
- (b) wherein a second type of conjugate molecule comprises
- at least the binding portion of a second antibody which binds specifically to another epitope presented by a spatially exposed region of immobilized VPF bound to a tumor-associated blood vessel in-vivo, and
- a second type of effector moiety covalently bound to said second antibody.
- 4. The immunological preparation as recited in claim 1, 2, or 3 wherein said binding portion of a conjugate molecule is selected from the group consisting of a whole antibody, and F(ab').sub.2 fragment, and a Fab fragment.
- 5. The immunological preparation as recited in claim 1, 2, or 3 wherein said effector moiety of a conjugate molecule is selected from the group consisting of radionuclides, antimetabolites, heavy metals, enzymes, bacterial exotoxins, and active complexes.
