Claims
- 1. A magnet assembly comprising:
- an excitation ring;
- a magnet defining opposing bonding surfaces; and
- means for bonding said excitation ring to one of said bonding surfaces defining a first interface, said bonding means including means for spacing said excitation ring relative to said bonding surface and bonding a predetermined portion of said magnet defining an interface wherein said bonding means includes a relatively compliant epoxy and a relatively noncompliant epoxy; and
- means for compensating for stress at said interface.
- 2. A magnet assembly as recited in claim 1, wherein said relatively compliant epoxy is configured to be disposed around said relatively noncompliant epoxy.
