Claims
- 1. A method for making printing plates using charge carrier media, comprising the steps of:
- providing a charge carrier medium comprising a conductive substrate and a charge carrier layer;
- providing a photosensitive member having a support member, including laminating in order on said support member a photosensitive electrode and a photoconductive layer;
- providing a charge injection preventive layer on at least one side of the photoconductive layer of the photosensitive member;
- placing said charge carrier medium and said photosensitive member in face-to-face relation with a predetermined gap therebetween;
- applying a voltage of a predetermined value between the conductive substrate of said charge carrier medium and the photosensitive electrode of said photosensitive member;

- performing toner development and fixation of the electrostatic latent image on the charge carrier layer, obtained in the last step; and
- removing the charge carrier layer other than at the toner image obtained from the step of performing toner development and fixation.
- 2. A method according to claim 1 wherein said charge carrier layer is provided with hydrophilic insulating material.
- 3. A method according to claim 1 wherein said charge injection preventive layer is a charge rectifying transporting layer capable of transporting charges therethrough of a given polarity relative the photosensitive electrode of the photosensitive member.

- 5. A method for page make-up using a charge carrier medium, comprising the steps of:
- placing a photosensitive member and a charge carrier medium in face-to-face relation;
- applying a voltage of predetermined value between said photosensitive member and said charge carrier medium;
- exposing to an image of a printing manuscript from the direction of said photosensitive member at a given position, in a size and at an angle as specified on a layout specifying sheet, to form an electrostatic latent image from the image of said printing manuscript on said charge carrier medium; and
- reading the electric charge of said electrostatic latent image with a reading sensor to obtain image data.
- 6. A method for making printing plates using a charge carrier medium, comprising the steps of:
- providing a charge carrier medium having a conductive substrate and a charge carrier layer thereon;
- providing a photosensitive member having a support member of a semicylindrical shape extending in a longitudinal direction with an electrode and a photoconductive layer laminated thereon;
- providing a charge injection preventive layer on at least one side of the photoconductive layer of the photosensitive member;
- placing the charge carrier medium and the photosensitive member in spaced face-to-face relationship with a predetermined gap therebetween;
- applying a voltage of a predetermined value between the conductive substrate of said charge carrier medium and the electrode of the photosensitive member;
