Claims
- 1. A vending machine for storing and dispensing a frozen product comprising:a body having an upper portion and a lower portion; a freezer chest disposed in the lower portion of the body, the freezer chest containing a matrix of partitions for storing frozen product, the freezer chest further having a motorized lid overlying the top and hinged along one side of the freezer chest for movement between open and closed positions; a motorized serving arm disposed in the upper portion of the body, the motorized serving arm being configured to controllably move in both X and Y directions to align with a selected partition containing a serving of a desired frozen product; a refrigeration system for maintaining an extremely cold temperature within the freezer chest, the refrigeration system including HP 80 refrigerant; a thermostat capable of achieving a −40 Celsius set point; and a safety switch, the safety switch being operable to disable the vending machine from dispensing frozen product if the temperature within the freezer chest exceeds the set point.
