Claims
- 1. A method for laminating a pre-press proof comprising:
creating a corona discharge treated sheet of plastic material; laminating a pre-laminate sheet of material comprising a first thermoplastic layer and a first support layer, to said sheet of corona discharge treated plastic material; removing the first support layer forming a pre-laminated receiver stock; creating an imaged receiver sheet with a second support layer; laminating said imaged receiver sheet to said pre-laminated receiver stock; and removing said second support layer thereby forming a pre-press proof.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein said first support layer is comprised of a support base and release layer.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, and release layer.
- 4. The method of claim 1 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, release layer, and an aluminized layer.
- 5. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1000 dpi and 4000 dpi formed by the method of claim 1.
- 6. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1800 dpi and 3000 dpi formed by the method of claim 1.
- 7. The method of claim 1 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a monochrome image.
- 8. The method of claim 1 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a multi colored image.
- 9. The method of claim 1 wherein said thermal print layer has a thickness between 1 and 75 microns.
- 10. The method of claim 1 wherein the image is an inkjet generated image.
- 11. The method of claim 1 wherein the sheet of plastic material is corona discharged treated in a printing press.
- 12. A method for laminating a pre-press proof comprising:
creating a corona discharge treated sheet of plastic material creating an imaged receiver sheet with a support layer; laminating said sheet of corona discharge treated plastic material to said imaged receiver sheet; and removing said support layer thereby forming a pre-press proof.
- 13. The method of claim 12 wherein said first support layer is comprised of a support base and release layer.
- 14. The method of claim 12 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, and release layer.
- 15. The method of claim 12 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, release layer, and an aluminized layer.
- 16. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1000 dpi and 4000 dpi formed by the method of claim 12.
- 17. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1800 dpi and 3000 dpi formed by the method of claim 12.
- 18. The method of claim 12 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a monochrome image.
- 19. The method of claim 12 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a multi colored image.
- 20. The method of claim 12 wherein said thermal print layer has a thickness between 1 and 75 microns.
- 21. The method of claim 12 wherein the image is an inkjet generated image.
- 22. The method of claim 12 wherein the sheet of plastic material is corona discharged treated in a printing press.
- 23. A method for laminating a pre-press proof comprising:
plasma etching sheet of plastic material; laminating a pre-laminate sheet of material comprising a first thermoplastic layer and first support layer to said sheet of plasma etched plastic material; removing said first support layer thereby forming a pre-laminated receiver stock; creating an imaged receiver sheet with a second support layer; laminating said imaged receiver sheet with said pre-laminated receiver stock; and removing said second support layer forming a pre-press proof.
- 24. The method of claim 23 wherein said first support layer is comprised of a support base and release layer.
- 25. The method of claim 23 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, and release layer.
- 26. The method of claim 23 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, release layer, and an aluminized layer.
- 27. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1000 dpi and 4000 dpi formed by the method of claim 23.
- 28. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1800 dpi and 3000 dpi formed by the method of claim 23.
- 29. The method of claim 23 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a monochrome image.
- 30. The method of claim 23 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a multi colored image.
- 31. The method of claim 23 wherein said thermal print layer has a thickness between 1 and 75 microns.
- 32. The method of claim 23 where in the image is an inkjet generated image.
- 33. The method of claim 23 where in the sheet of plastic material is plasma etched in a printing press.
- 34. A method for laminating a pre-press proof comprising:
plasma etched sheet of plastic material; creating an imaged receiver sheet with a support layer; laminating said sheet of plasma etched plastic material to said imaged receiver sheet; and removing said support layer thereby forming a pre-press proof;
- 35. The method of claim 34 wherein said first support layer is comprised of a support base and release layer.
- 36. The method of claim 34 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, and release layer.
- 37. The method of claim 34 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, release layer, and an aluminized layer.
- 38. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1000 dpi and 4000 dpi formed by the method of claim 34.
- 39. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1800 dpi and 3000 dpi formed by the method of claim 34.
- 40. The method of claim 34 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a monochrome image.
- 41. The method of claim 34 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a multi colored image.
- 42. The method of claim 34 wherein said thermal print layer has a thickness between 1 and 75 microns.
- 43. The method of claim 34 where in the image is an inkjet generated image.
- 44. The method of claim 34 where in the sheet of plastic material is plasma etched in a printing press.
- 45. A method for laminating a pre-press proof comprising:
creating a coated sheet of plastic material; laminating a pre-laminate sheet of material consisting of a first thermoplastic layer, and first support layer to said coated sheet of plastic material; removing said first support layer forming a pre-laminated receiver stock; creating an imaged receiver sheet with a second support layer; laminating said imaged receiver sheet with said pre-laminated receiver stock; and removing said second support layer forming a pre-press proof.
- 46. The method of claim 45 wherein said first support layer is comprised of a support base and release layer.
- 47. The method of claim 45 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base and release layer.
- 48. The method of claim 45 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, release layer, and an aluminized layer.
- 49. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1000 dpi and 4000 dpi formed by the method of claim 45.
- 50. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1800 dpi and 3000 dpi formed by the method of claim 45.
- 51. The method of claim 45 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a monochrome image.
- 52. The method of claim 45 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a multi colored image.
- 53. The method of claim 45 wherein said thermal print layer has a thickness between 1 and 75 microns.
- 54. The method of claim 45 where in the image is an inkjet generated image.
- 55. The method of claim 45 where in the sheet of plastic material is coated in a printing press.
- 56. The method of claim 45 where in the sheet of plastic material is coated with chlorinated polypropylene.
- 57. A method for laminating a pre-press proof comprising:
coating sheet of plastic material; creating an imaged receiver sheet with a support layer; laminating said coated sheet of plastic material to said imaged receiver sheet; and removing said support layer forming a pre-press proof.
- 58. The method of claim 57 wherein said first support layer is comprised of a support base and release layer.
- 59. The method of claim 57 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, and release layer.
- 60. The method of claim 57 wherein said second support layer is comprised of a support base, release layer, and an aluminized layer.
- 61. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1000 dpi and 4000 dpi formed by the method of claim 57.
- 62. A pre-press proof with a resolution of between 1800 dpi and 3000 dpi formed by the method of claim 57.
- 63. The method of claim 57 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a monochrome image.
- 64. The method of claim 57 wherein said imaged receiver sheet comprises a multi colored image.
- 65. The method of claim 57 wherein said thermal print layer has a thickness between 1 and 75 microns.
- 66. The method of claim 57 where in the image is an inkjet generated image.
- 67. The method of claim 57 where in the sheet of plastic material is coated or subbed in a printing press.
- 68. The method of claim 57 where in the sheet of plastic material is coated or subbed with chlorinated polypropylene.
