Claims
- 1. A method of preparing a powdered natural dairy additive for use in a consumable beverage, the method comprising:
agglomerating natural liquid milk to form a powdered creamer that has a scorched particle mass not greater than fifteen milligrams; and packaging the powdered creamer into at least one container.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of agglomerating comprises:
spray drying the natural liquid milk to form an intermediate powder; and fluid bed drying the intermediate powder to produce the powdered creamer.
- 3. The method of claim 2, further comprising combining milk caseinates with the intermediate powder to produce a modified intermediate powder;
wherein the step of fluid bed drying comprises fluid bed drying the modified intermediate powder to produce the powdered creamer.
- 4. The method of claim 1, further comprising combining the powdered creamer with at least one additional ingredient to produce a creamer mixture; and
wherein the step of packaging comprises packaging the creamer mixture into at least one container.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein the additional ingredient includes at least one of sugar, coffee, tea, and cocoa powder.
- 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of packaging comprises packaging the powdered creamer into at least one of single serving packets and bulk containers.
- 7. A natural dairy additive for use in a consumable beverage, the additive comprising:
agglomerated natural milk powder having a scorched particle mass not greater than fifteen milligrams; and a container for retaining at least the agglomerated natural milk powder in packaged form.
- 8. The additive of claim 7, wherein the agglomerated natural milk powder has a scorched particle mass in the range of 7.5 milligrams to 15 milligrams.
- 9. The additive of claim 7, wherein the agglomerated natural milk powder has a particle bulk density in the range of 0.25 g/cc to 0.34 g/cc.
- 10. The additive of claim 7, further comprising at lease one additional ingredient mixed with the agglomerated natural milk powder.
- 11. The additive of claim 10, wherein the additional ingredient is at least one of sugar, tea, cocoa powder, and coffee.
- 12. A device for vending a consumable beverage, the device comprising:
a compartment arranged to retain and dispense agglomerated natural milk powder having a scorched particle mass not greater than fifteen milligrams; and a hot water source, wherein water supplied by the hot water source is mixed with agglomerated natural milk powder dispensed from the compartment to produce the consumable beverage.
- 13. The device of claim 12, further comprising a second compartment arranged to retain and dispense a second ingredient, wherein water supplied by the hot water source is mixed with agglomerated natural milk powder dispensed from the compartment and the second ingredient dispensed from the second compartment to produce the consumable beverage.
- 14. The device of claim 13, wherein the second ingredient is one of cocoa powder, tea, coffee and sugar.
- 15. The device of claim 12, wherein the compartment is further arranged to retain and dispense the agglomerated natural milk powder as a mixture in combination with at least one additional ingredient.
- 16. A method for preparing a consumable beverage, the method comprising:
providing a single serving of hot water; providing a single serving of an agglomerated natural milk powder, the agglomerated natural milk powder including a scorched particle mass not greater than fifteen milligrams; and placing the hot water and the agglomerated natural milk powder into a beverage cup such that the hot water and the agglomerated natural milk powder mix to produce the consumable beverage.
- 17. The method of claim 16, wherein the step of placing the hot water and the agglomerated natural milk powder into a beverage cup comprises dispensing the hot water and the agglomerated natural milk powder into the beverage cup as part of operation of a vending machine.
- 18. The method of claim 16, further comprising:
providing a single serving of at least one additional ingredient; and placing the additional ingredient into the beverage cup such that the hot water, the agglomerated natural milk powder, and the additional ingredient mix to produce the consumable beverage.
- 19. A method for preparing a consumable beverage, the method comprising:
providing a single serving of hot water; providing a single serving of a mixture of an agglomerated natural milk powder and an additional ingredient, the agglomerated natural milk powder including a scorched particle mass not greater than fifteen milligrams; and placing the hot water and the mixture into a beverage cup such that the hot water and the mixture mix to produce the consumable beverage.
- 20. The method of claim 19, wherein the step of placing the hot water and the mixture into a beverage cup comprises dispensing the hot water and the mixture into the beverage cup as part of operation of a vending machine.
