1. Field of the Invention
The invention relates to processes of manufacturing fabric and more particularly to a process of manufacturing a fabric having water repellency, warmth keeping, and moisture absorption.
2. Description of Related Art
Qualities of consumer goods are increased as technologies advance. For example, materials, qualities, and features of clothes are improved. Clothes made of fabric having water based polyurethane (PU) have increased elasticity and are capable of slightly repel water. However, conventional clothes made of fabric are either capable of keeping warm or repelling water. Alternatively, conventional clothes made of fabric are either capable of repelling water or capable of passing air through. Further, conventional clothes made of fabric having water based PU may cause the PU to permeate and harden the clothes.
Thus, the need for improvement still exists.
It is therefore one object of the invention to provide a process of manufacturing a fabric comprising the steps of adding a moisture absorption dye to an undyed fabric to dye and form an unfinished fabric; processing a first surface of the unfinished fabric to form a warmth keeping layer on the first surface; and forming a foam layer on a second surface of the unfinished fabric to produce a finished fabric having water repellency, warmth keeping, and moisture absorption.
Preferably, the moisture absorption dye is formed of polyether acrylate polymer.
Preferably, the unfinished fabric is a fabric formed of 100% polyester (PET).
Preferably, the unfinished fabric is a fabric formed of nylon, cotton fibers, rayon, or synthetic fibers.
Preferably, foam of the foam layer is comprised of water based polyurethane (PU), non-stick material, and cross linking agent.
Preferably, the water based PU is PU elastomer.
Preferably, the non-stick material is fluorocarbon resin.
Preferably, the warmth keeping layer is a fur surface.
The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.
Referring to
First, an undyed fabric and a moisture absorption dye 22 are added to a tank for dying and forming an unfinished fabric 10. The moisture absorption dye 22 is formed of polyether acrylate polymer. The unfinished fabric 10 is a fabric formed of 100% polyester (PET), nylon, cotton fibers, rayon, or synthetic fibers.
Second, a fur machine is activated to process a first surface of the unfinished fabric 10 to form a warmth keeping layer 12 on the first surface. The warmth keeping layer 12 is a fur surface.
Third, a foam application machine 21 is activated to apply foam from a foam section 20 on a second surface of the unfinished fabric 10, and excessive foam is scraped to form a foam layer 11 on the second surface. As a result, a finished fabric 101 having a warmth keeping layer 12 on the first surface and a foam layer 11 on the second surface is produced. The fabric 101 has the characteristics of water repellency, warmth keeping, and moisture absorption.
The foam of the foam layer 11 is comprised of water based polyurethane (PU), non-stick material, and cross linking agent. The water based PU is PU elastomer. The non-stick material is fluorocarbon resin.
While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
