Claims
- 1. A synthetic single crystal diamond, said diamond containing 20-400 ppm nitrogen, said diamond having a first surface of a (111) face, said first surface having a plurality of steps on said (111) face, each step having a (111) face and being 5-100 .mu.m in height.
- 2. The diamond according to claim 1 wherein said first surface has up to four stacked steps each of 5-100 .mu.m in height.
- 3. The diamond according to claim 1, said diamond having a second opposite said first surface, said second surface being a (111) face having a plurality of stacked steps each of 5-100 .mu.m in height.
