Claims
- 1. An adaptor of one-piece molded plastic construction for a hollow flexible tube, comprising a cylindrical body having means for connecting the tube to a container of liquid product to be dispensed through said tube, the adaptor further comprises a conical disc integrally hinged to said body for movement between a non-use and a use position, one end of said body having a central recess defined by a bottom wall and a peripheral side wall for the reception of said disc in said use position, means acting between said body and said disc for positively retaining said disc in said use position, said disc having a central opening coaxial with a central opening in said body in said use position, said disc opening being defined by a plurality of resilient tines defining one-way ratchet teeth in engagement with said tube upon insertion of the tube through said coaxial openings.
- 2. The adaptor according to claim 1, wherein said means for retaining said disc in said use position comprises at least one tab on said peripheral wall overlying said disc in said use position.
- 3. The adaptor according to claim 1, wherein said connecting means comprises a cylindrical skirt on said body internally threaded for threaded engagement with a dip tube mounted on the container.
- 4. The adaptor according to claim 1, wherein said connecting means comprises a hollow nipple coaxial with said body opening for engagement with a closure cap mounted on the container.
