Claims
- 1. An integrated linear amplifier circuit comprising a common semiconductor body, a group of bipolar transistors built side by side into said body adjacent one major surface thereof, a conductive track pattern at said one major surface and including at least one signal input and one signal output, said transistors each including a base zone of the body of a first conductivity type and directly connected to the track pattern and which requires biasing to operate, an emitter zone of a second conductivity type and a collector, and means for biasing the base zones of said transistors, said biasing means including at least one current injector in the body comprising at least a first injecting layer and an adjoining second intermediate layer forming with the first injecting layer a rectifying junction, at least one rectifying junction separating the first injecting layer from all of said transistors and at least two rectifying junctions separating the first injecting layer from said base zones of said transistors, the emitter zones of said group of transistors constituting a common zone of said body and said common zone also including the second intermediate layer of said current injector, means for connecting the first injecting layer and the second intermediate layer to a source of biasing potential so as to forward bias the rectifying junction between the first and second layers causing the injection of charge carriers into the second intermediate layer and the collection of charge carriers by the base zones of the group of transistors whereby the base zones become biased, means connecting a collector of a first transistor of the group directly via a conductive track to the base zone of a second transistor of the group, the signal input being connected to the first transistor base, the signal output being connected to the collector of a further transistor of the group, and means operatively connected to the group of transistors to provide direct current negative feedback coupling in the circuit.
- 2. An integrated linear amplifier circuit as claimed in claim 1, wherein the current injector comprises at least five successive layers alternating in conductivity type of which the first corresponds to the first injecting layer, the second corresponds to the second intermediate layer, and the last corresponds to the base zones of the group of transistors to be biased into operation.
- 3. A linear amplifier circuit comprising first and second D.C. coupled complementary transistors each having emitter, base and collector, D.C. means connecting the collectors of the first and second transistors, means connecting the base of the first transistor to the emitter of the second transistor, and current injector means coupled directly to the base of the first transistor and directly to the collector of the second transistor for biasing them into operation.
- 4. The circuit as defined in claim 3, wherein said circuit comprises a common semiconductor body, and said transistors are integrated in said semiconductor body.
- 5. A linear amplifier circuit comprising first and second D.C. coupled complementary transistors each having emitter and collector main electrodes and base electrodes, said transistors sharing a common semiconductor electrode region which comprises the base of the first transistor and a first main electrode of the second transistor, the second main electrode of the second transistor being directly connected to the collector of the first transistor, and current injector means coupled to the base of the first transistor and to the second main electrode of the second transistor for biasing them into operation.
- 6. The circuit as defined in claim 5, wherein the second transistor is a lateral transistor.
