PRINTED WIRING BOARD AND CONNECTION CONFIGURATION OF THE SAME

Abstract
A printed wiring board having an insulating base material; a wiring formed on at least one surface of the insulating base material, the wiring forming a predetermined circuit pattern; a first connection terminal portion formed on the surface and electrically connected to the wiring, the first connection terminal portion having a first width; a second connection terminal portion formed on the surface and electrically connected to the wiring, the second connection terminal portion having a second width; and a cover layer configured to cover the wiring and expose the first and the second connection terminal portion.

Claims
  • 1. A printed wiring board comprising: an insulating base material;a wiring formed on at least one surface of the insulating base material, the wiring forming a predetermined circuit pattern;a first connection terminal portion formed on the at least one surface and electrically connected to the wiring, the first connection terminal portion having a first width;a second connection terminal portion formed on the at least one surface and electrically connected to the wiring, the second connection terminal portion having a second width; anda cover layer configured to cover the wiring and expose the first and the second connection terminal portion.
  • 2. A printed wiring board as recited in claim 1, wherein the first and the second connection terminal portion constitute an end portion of the wiring.
  • 3. A printed wiring board as recited in claim 1, further comprising an additional one or more of the wirings, wherein the first connection terminal portion is electrically connected to at least one of the wirings and the second connection terminal portion is electrically connected to at least another one of the wirings.
  • 4. A printed wiring board as recited in claim 3, wherein the first connection terminal portion constitutes an end portion of the at least one of the wirings and the second connection terminal portion constitutes an end portion of the at least another one of the wirings.
  • 5. A printed wiring board as recited in claim 1, wherein the first connection terminal portion is formed alternately with the second connection terminal portion.
  • 6. A printed wiring board as recited in claim 1, wherein a plurality of the first connection terminal portions are formed alternately with a plurality of the second connection terminal portions.
  • 7. A connection configuration directed to connect printed wiring boards, comprising: a first printed wiring board including; a first insulating base material,a first wiring formed on at least one surface of the first insulating base material, the first wiring forming a predetermined circuit pattern,a first connection terminal portion formed on the at least one surface of the first insulating base material and electrically connected to the first wiring, the first connection terminal portion having a first width,a second connection terminal portion formed on the at least one surface of the first insulating base material and electrically connected to the first wiring, the second connection terminal portion having a second width, anda first cover layer configured to cover the first wiring and expose the first and the second connection terminal portion; anda second printed wiring board including; a second insulating base material,a second wiring formed on at least one surface of the second insulating base material, the second wiring forming a predetermined circuit pattern,a third connection terminal portion formed on the at least one surface of the second insulating base material and electrically connected to the second wiring, the third connection terminal portion having a third width and being formed so as to oppose the second connection terminal portion,a fourth connection terminal portion formed on the at least one surface of the second insulating base material and electrically connected to the second wiring, the fourth connection terminal portion having a fourth width and being formed so as to oppose the first connection terminal portion, anda second cover layer configured to cover the second wiring and expose the third and the fourth connection terminal portion;wherein the first connection terminal portion is connected to the fourth connection terminal portion, andwherein the second connection terminal portion is connected to the third connection terminal portion.
  • 8. A connection configuration as recited in claim 7, wherein the first and the second connection terminal portion constitute an end portion of the first wiring.
  • 9. A connection configuration as recited in claim 7, wherein the third and the fourth connection terminal portion constitute an end portion of the second wiring.
  • 10. A connection configuration as recited in claim 7, wherein the first printed wiring hoard further comprises an additional one or more of the first wirings; wherein the first connection terminal portion is electrically connected to at least one of the first wirings; andwherein the second connection terminal portion is electrically connected to at least another one of the first wirings.
  • 11. A connection configuration as recited in claim 10, wherein the first connection terminal portion constitutes an end portion of the at least one of the first wirings and the second connection terminal portion constitutes an end portion of the at least another one of the first wirings.
  • 12. A connection configuration as recited in claim 7, wherein the second printed wiring board further comprises an additional one or more of the second wirings; wherein the third connection terminal portion is electrically connected to at least one of the second wirings; andwherein the fourth connection terminal portion is electrically connected to at least another one of the second wirings.
  • 13. A connection configuration as recited in claim 12, wherein the third connection terminal portion constitutes an end portion of the at least one of the second wirings and the fourth connection terminal portion constitutes an end portion of the at least another one of the second wirings.
  • 14. A connection configuration as recited in claim 7, wherein a connection between the first connection terminal portion and the fourth connection terminal portion is made with a solder layer provided therebetween and wherein a connection between the second connection terminal portion and the third connection terminal portion is made with a solder layer provided therebetween.
  • 15. A connection configuration as recited in claim 7, wherein the first width is substantially equal to the third width and the second width is substantially equal to the fourth width.
  • 16. A connection configuration as recited in claim 7, wherein the first connection terminal portion is formed alternately with the second connection terminal portion.
  • 17. A connection configuration as recited in claim 7, wherein a plurality of the first connection terminal portions are formed alternately with a plurality of the second connection terminal portions.
  • 18. A connection configuration as recited in claim 7, wherein at least one of the first printed wiring board and the second printed wiring board has flexibility.
  • 19. A connection configuration as recited in claim 17, wherein every two of the plurality of first connection terminal portions are formed alternately with every two of the plurality of second connection terminal portions, respectively.
