Claims
- 1. A method of accessing a semiconductor device that operates in synchronism with a clock signal, comprising:fetching information indicating a memory cell location in a memory cell array in synchronism with the clock signal; determining first data of a plurality of data to be transferred sequentially; decoding the information indicating the memory cell location in the memory cell array and designating the memory cell; receiving data stored in the memory cell designated by the information indicating the memory cell location in the memory cell array in synchronism with the clock signal after a predetermined number of cycles of the clock signal; and outputting a plurality of data stored in the memory cells in synchronism with the clock signal and storing a plurality of input data in the memory cells in synchronism with the clock signal.
- 2. A method of accessing a semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein said information indicating the memory cell location in the memory cell array includes address signals and is fetched without being divided into rows and columns.
- 3. A method of accessing a semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein a first signal, which determines whether data are read or written, and a second signal, which determines whether the first signal is latched or not, are input additionally, andinput and output of data are carried out independently of a timing at which the information indicating the memory cell location in the memory cell array is fetched in.
- 4. A method of accessing a semiconductor device according to claim 3, wherein input and output of data from said data input/output section are carried out following a predetermined number of cycles of the clock signal after latching of the first signal is instructed by the second signal.
- 5. A method of accessing a semiconductor device according to claim 1, wherein whether said plurality of data stored in the memory cells are externally output in synchronism with said clock signal or not is determined by an output enable signal.
