Claims
- 1. A test device for multiple functions testing comprises:
a single interface; a plurality of media devices, all of which reside together in said single interface; and a selection device, wherein said selection device selects said plurality of media devices for testing.
- 2. The test device as claimed in claim 1 further comprises an isolator configured to reduce the power leakage from said selection device.
- 3. The test device as claimed in claim 1 further comprises a charge storage configured to keep stable power to said selection device.
- 4. The test device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said test device is configured for testing a PCMCIA interface.
- 5. The test device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said media devices includes a secure digital card.
- 6. The test device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said media devices includes a multi-media card.
- 7. The test device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said media devices includes a smart media card.
- 8. The test device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said media devices includes a memory stick card.
- 9. The test device as claimed in claim 2, wherein said isolator comprises a diode.
- 10. The test device as claimed in claim 3 further comprises a discharger configured to discharge the power in said charge storage.
- 11. The test device as claimed in claim 10, wherein said charge storage comprises a capacitor.
- 12. The test device as claimed in claim 10, wherein said discharger comprises a switch.
- 13. The test device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said selection device comprises a state machine.
- 14. The test device as claimed in claim 13, wherein said state machine comprises a counter configured to provide outputs for selecting said plurality of media devices.
- 15. The test device as claimed in claim 14, wherein said counter comprises a two bit counter.
- 16. The test device as claimed in claim 14, wherein said state machine comprises a decoder configured to decode said outputs of said counter.
- 17. The test device as claimed in claim 16 further comprises a buffer configured to reduce the leakage from said decoder.
- 18. The test device as claimed in claim 1 further comprises a delay circuit configured to provide a clock signal.
- 19. The test device as claimed in claim 18 further comprises a clock source selector for selecting said clock signal.
- 20. The test device as claimed in claim 1 further comprises a media device isolator configured to separate signals from said plurality of media devices.
- 21. The test device as claimed in claim 20, wherein said media device isolator comprises a switch.
- 22. A method for testing whether a slot works properly with a plurality of media devices, said method comprising:
detecting an insertion of a test device comprising a plurality of media devices all of which reside together in a single interface; selecting a first one of said plurality of media devices for testing purpose; testing said first one of said plurality of media devices; selecting a second one of said plurality of media devices for testing purpose; testing said second one of said plurality of media devices.
- 23. The method as claimed in claim 22 further comprises the step of reducing the power leakage.
- 24. The method as claimed in claim 22 further comprises the step of using a charge storage to maintain stable power.
- 25. The method as claimed in claim 22, wherein said media devices includes a secure digital card.
- 26. The method as claimed in claim 22, wherein said media devices includes a multi-media card.
- 27. The method as claimed in claim 22, wherein said media devices includes a smart media card.
- 28. The method as claimed in claim 22, wherein said media devices includes a memory stick card.
- 29. The method as claimed in claim 23 further comprises the step of using a diode to reduce said power leakage.
- 30. The method as claimed in claim 24 further comprises the step of discharging the power in said charge storage.
- 31. The method as claimed in claim 30 further comprises the step of using a capacitor as said charge storage.
- 32. The method as claimed in claim 30 further comprises the step of using a switch to discharge said power.
- 33. The method as claimed in claim 22 further comprises the step of using a counter to generate outputs for selecting said plurality of media devices.
- 34. The method as claimed in claim 22, further comprises the step of using a decoder to decode said outputs of said counter.
- 35. The method as claimed in claim 34 further comprises the step of reducing the leakage from said decoder.
- 36. The method as claimed in claim 22 further comprises the step of generating a clock signal.
- 37. The method as claimed in claim 36 further comprises the step of using a clock source selector to select said clock signal.
- 38. The method as claimed in claim 22 further comprises the step of separating signals from said plurality of media devices.
- 39. The method as claimed in claim 38 further comprises the step of using a switch to separate said signals from said plurality of media devices.
