Claims
- 1. An antisense oligonucleotide between 20 and 50 nucleobases in length, comprising at least an 8 nucleobase region of nucleobases 61-1922 of a nucleic acid molecule encoding human protein phosphatase 5 (PP5)(SEQ ID NO: 43), wherein said oligonucleotide inhibits expression of human PP5 by at least 50%.
- 2. The antisense oligonucleotide of claim 1 which inhibits expression of human PP5 by at least 70%.
- 3. The antisense oligonucleotide of claim 1 which comprises SEQ ID NOS: 59, 60, 61, 62, 64, 65, 66, 68, 70 or 72.
- 4. The antisense oligonucleotide of claim 2 which comprises SEQ ID NOS: 59, 60, 61, 62, 65, 66, 68 or 70.
- 5. The antisense oligonucleotide of claim 1 which comprises at least one internucleoside linkage modification.
- 6. The antisense oligonucleotide of claim 1 which comprises at least one 2′ sugar modification.
- 7. The antisense oligonucleotide of claim 1 which comprises at least one base modification.
- 8. The antisense oligonucleotide of claim 1 in a carrier or diluent.
- 9. A method of inhibiting expression of PP5 SEQ ID NO: 43), comprising contacting cells or tissues with the antisense oligonucleotide of claim 1 so that expression of human PP5 is inhibited.
