Claims
- 1. A processing device for an elongated workpiece defining a primary axis and further defining a first row and a second row of alignment holes, the first and second rows running parallel to the primary axis, the processing device comprising:a belt having a first protrusion configured to mate with an alignment hole from the first row to the exclusion of any alignment hole from the second row; and a tooling member having a second protrusion configured to mate with an alignment hole from the second row.
- 2. The processing device of claim 1, wherein the first protrusion is a pin.
- 3. The processing device of claim 1, wherein the belt includes an engagement hole configured to mate with a pulley having a third protrusion.
- 4. The processing device of claim 1, wherein the belt includes a plurality of first protrusions configured to mate with an alignment hole from the first row.
- 5. The processing device of claim 4, wherein each of the plurality of first protrusions is a pin.
- 6. The processing device of claim 1, wherein the belt is fabricated from stainless steel.
- 7. The processing device of claim 1, wherein the belt is an endless belt.
- 8. The processing device of claim 7, wherein the endless belt is disposed around first and second pulleys.
- 9. The processing device of claim 8, wherein the first pulley is aligned with the second pulley.
- 10. The processing device of claim 8, wherein the first pulley includes a third protrusion configured to mate with an engagement hole of the belt.
- 11. The processing device of claim 8, wherein the second pulley includes a fourth protrusion configured to mate with an engagement hole of the belt.
- 12. The processing device of claim 8, wherein the first and second pulleys are fabricated from aluminum.
- 13. The processing device of claim 8, wherein at least one of the first and second pulleys is connected to a pulley rotator.
- 14. The processing device of claim 13, wherein the pulley rotator is a servomotor.
- 15. The processing device of claim 1, wherein the second protrusion is an alignment pin.
- 16. The processing device of claim 1, wherein the tooling member is a die tool.
- 17. The processing device of claim 1, wherein the tooling member is configured to mate with at least one alignment hole from the second row to the exclusion of any alignment hole from the first row.
- 18. The processing device of claim 1, wherein the tooling member is connected to a cam assembly having a lever arm connected to the tool and a cam connected to the lever arm.
- 19. The processing device of claim 1, further comprising a second tooling member opposing the first tooling member.
- 20. The processing device of claim 19, wherein the second tooling member is a punch tool.
