Claims
- 1. A light emitting device comprising:
a first light emitting component including a light-emitting semiconductor layer that emits light in blue region; a second light emitting component including a light-emitting semiconductor layer that emits light in red region; and a phosphor capable of absorbing a part of light emitted by said first light emitting component and emitting light in yellow region.
- 2. The light emitting device according to claim 1, wherein the light-emitting semiconductor layer of said first light emitting component includes a nitride compound semiconductor.
- 3. The light emitting device according to claim 1, wherein the light-emitting semiconductor layer of said second light emitting component includes a semiconductor selected from a group consisting of gallium phosphate, gallium aluminum arsenide, gallium arsenic phosphate and indium aluminum phosphate.
- 4. The light emitting device according to claim 1, wherein said phosphor contains a garnet fluorescent material comprising 1) at least one element selected from the group consisting of Y, Lu, Se, La, Gd and Sm, and 2) at least one element selected from the group consisting of Al, Ga and In, and being activated with cerium.
- 5. The light emitting device according to claim 1, wherein the light emitted by said second light emitting component is radiated to the outside without exciting said phosphor, and wherein said light emitting device is capable of emitting red/white light.
- 6. The light emitting device according to claim 1, wherein main emission peak of said first light emitting element is set within the range from 400 nm to 530 and main emission wavelength of said phosphor is set to be longer than the main emission peak of said first light emitting component.
