Claims
- 1. A circuit structure, comprising:
a substrate; a coil structure comprising an elastic member comprising a first anchor portion, a loop winding and a second anchor portion, the first anchor portion being fixed to the substrate, the second anchor portion being connected to the substrate; wherein the second anchor portion and the loop winding are initially fixed to the substrate, but are released from the substrate to become separated from the substrate, and wherein a stress profile in the elastic member biases the second anchor portion away from the substrate forming the loop winding and causing the second anchor portion to contact the substrate; and an electronic device formed on the substrate.
- 2. The circuit structure of claim 1, wherein the second anchor portion is connected to the substrate by a conductive adhesive.
- 3. The circuit structure of claim 1, wherein the second anchor portion is soldered to the substrate.
- 4. The circuit structure of claim 1, wherein the second anchor portion is plated to the substrate.
- 5. The circuit structure of claim 1, wherein the second anchor portion is connected to the substrate using thermal compression bonding.
- 6. The circuit structure of claim 1, wherein the elastic member is formed of an electrically conductive material.
- 7. The circuit structure of claim 1, further comprising an electrically conductive layer formed on a portion of at least one of an inner surface and an outer surface of the loop winding.
- 8. The circuit structure of claim 1, wherein the electronic device comprises at least one of a resistor, a capacitor and an inductor.
- 9. The circuit structure of claim 1, wherein the electronic device comprises at least one of a transmission line and an antenna.
- 10. The circuit structure of claim 1, wherein the electronic device comprises at least one of a transformer, a filter circuit, a phased-lock loop circuit, a heterodyne circuit, a mixer circuit, a delay line, a super heterodyne circuit, and an oscillator.
- 11. The circuit structure of claim 1, wherein the electronic device comprises at least one of a transistor and a diode.
- 12. A circuit structure, comprising:
a substrate; a first multi-turn coil structure, comprising: a plurality of elastic members, each elastic member comprising a first anchor portion, a loop winding and a second anchor portion, the first anchor portion being fixed to the substrate, the second anchor portion being connected to the substrate, wherein the second anchor portion and the loop winding are initially fixed to the substrate, but are released from the substrate to become separated from the substrate, and wherein a stress profile in the elastic member biases the second anchor portion away from the substrate forming the loop winding and causing the second anchor portion to contact the substrate; wherein the loop windings of the elastic members are disposed axially adjacent to one another and wherein the first anchor portion of one of the plurality of elastic members is connected to the second anchor portion of another one of the plurality of elastic members; and an electronic device on the substrate.
- 13. The circuit structure of claim 12, wherein the first anchor portion of one of the plurality of elastic members is connected to the second anchor portion of another one of the plurality of elastic members via a contact pad.
- 14. The circuit structure of claim 12, further comprising a U-shaped contact pad having a first pad and a second pad disposed between each pair of elastic members, wherein the first anchor portion of one of the plurality of elastic members is connected to the first pad of the adjacent U-shaped contact pad and the second anchor portion of an adjacent one of the plurality of elastic members is connected to the second pad of the U-shaped contact pad.
- 15. The circuit structure of claim 12, wherein the plurality of elastic members is aligned with an axis that is substantially parallel to the substrate.
- 16. The circuit structure of claim 15, wherein the axis is a straight line.
- 17. The circuit structure of claim 15, wherein the axis is in the shape of a loop, forming a toroidal shaped coil structure.
- 18. The circuit structure of claim 12, wherein the elastic members are formed of an electrically conductive material and further comprising an electrical coil tap connected to one or more of the first anchor points.
- 19. The circuit structure of claim 12, further comprising a ferromagnetic core disposed axially within the loop windings.
- 20. The circuit structure of claim 12, further comprising:
a second multi-turn coil structure, comprising: a plurality of elastic members, each elastic member comprising a first anchor portion, a loop winding and a second anchor portion, the first anchor portion being fixed to the substrate, the second anchor portion being connected to the substrate, wherein the second anchor portion and the loop winding are initially fixed to the substrate, but are released from the substrate to become separated from the substrate, and wherein a stress profile in the elastic member biases the second anchor portion away from the substrate forming the loop winding and causing the second anchor portion to contact the substrate; wherein the loop windings of the elastic members are disposed axially adjacent to one another and wherein the first anchor portion of one of the plurality of elastic members is connected to the second anchor portion of another one of the plurality of elastic members; wherein the first multi-turn coil structure is connected as and forms a primary winding of a transformer and the second multi-turn coil structure is connected as and forms a secondary winding of the transformer.
- 21. The circuit structure of claim 20, wherein the primary winding and the secondary winding are formed such that their individual loop windings intertwine.
- 22. The circuit structure of claim 12, wherein the electronic device comprises at least one of a resistor, a capacitor and an inductor.
- 23. The circuit structure of claim 12, wherein the electronic device comprises at least one of a transmission line and an antenna.
- 24. The circuit structure of claim 12, wherein the electronic device comprises at least one of a transformer, a filter circuit, a phased-lock loop circuit, a heterodyne circuit, a mixer circuit, a delay line, a super heterodyne circuit, and an oscillator.
- 25. The circuit structure of claim 12, wherein the electronic device comprises at least one of a transistor and a diode.
- 26. The circuit structure of claim 12, further comprising an electrically conductive layer formed on a portion of at least one of an inner surface and an outer surface of each loop winding.
